If Toyota is the king of hybrid cars — and increasingly, those with plug-in hybrid engines: read our review of the Toyota RAV4 PHEV — it’s because it has incorporated these engines into almost every car sold worldwide, including a historic hybrid minivan that it has been selling in the United States for nearly 30 years.
We’re talking about the Toyota Sienna, a minivan launched in 1997. Its fourth generation is an impressive 5.17 meters — 203.7 inches — long with a wheelbase of 3.06 meters — 120.5 inches — making it perfect for up to 8 passengers. But Toyota has gone even further, now offering its own ice cream at a price of 74 euros.

A historic hybrid minivan now with its own ice cream
With nearly 30 years under its belt, the Toyota Sienna has always been one of Toyota’s best-selling vehicles in the United States. To that end, it has featured a hybrid engine since 2021. Specifically, it comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a total of 245 hp or 248 CV. Additionally, it can optionally feature all-wheel drive, achieved by installing one of these electric motors in the rear axle.
This minivan has always featured many comfort features — for example, since 2025, it automatically calls the driver’s phone… if they forget about young children inside. But now, Toyota has gone completely crazy.
If Volkswagen markets its own sausages — yes, you read that right — Toyota has done the same… with frozen sandwiches. These ice creams cost a whopping 74 euros per pack of 12.
But what the hell does Toyota and its iconic hybrid minivan have to do with 74-euro ice creams? Well… quite a lot. To be precise, Toyota’s division in the United States has reached an agreement with ice cream manufacturer Graeter’s to launch these frozen sandwiches, which, incidentally, can only be purchased online here.

If it seems like Toyota has gone crazy, that’s not the case. Launching this limited series of ice creams—costing a whopping 74 euros—is actually their latest marketing strategy to promote the fridge that can be included in their iconic Sienna minivan’s top trims.
Commercially named FridgeBox, it offers space for up to six cans of soda—or 12 frozen sandwiches—and two cooling levels, one of which is specifically designed to keep the ice cream frozen. While this isn’t quite on par with that Chinese brand that released a minivan with a built-in coffee maker, it’s pretty close…
