PRICES: The Geely E2 in Germany starts at 19,990 euros. It’s cheaper than the gasoline-powered VW Polo. Our manufacturers have been promising us this price for a long time.
Premiere sales of the Geely E2 (4.14 meters long, 2.65 meters wheelbase) have begun in Germany, where official prices for the model were announced for the first time in Europe. The car starts at 19,900 euros, which would equate to 88,900 zlotys in Poland. While that’s not the case here, in Germany the Geely E2 costs less than a gasoline-powered Volkswagen Polo (priced at 20,380 euros), not to mention the electric VW ID. Polo (24,995 euros). And that’s not all—the benefits don’t stop there.

Geely E2 Max and Ultra: Larger battery, still modest range
As reported by DMT-Puls, those who don’t want to spend money upfront can lease a car with monthly payments starting at 99 euros (equivalent to 440 zł), over a 48-month financing period and with 10,000 kilometers of mileage per year. Those who act quickly and order the cars by mid-September will also receive a voucher for an additional 621 euros (about 2,760 zł) for charging via the EnBW service, valid for one year.
According to Geely, this amount of energy is sufficient to cover 10,000 kilometers, meaning buyers could go on a free late-summer vacation—since deliveries of the E2 are set to begin at the end of September.
The base price of the Geely E2 refers to the E2 Pro version with a battery capacity of 35.4 (~34) kWh and an engine producing 60 kW/82 HP to power the rear wheels. The WLTP range claimed for this model is only 252 miles, significantly less than the VW ID. Polo with a base battery of ~39 (37) kWh, which promises up to 334 miles WLTP range. But this edition seems intended merely to persuade people to visit a dealership. A similar role was played in Poland by the BYD Dolphin Surf Active 30 (~28) kWh version, which was hard to obtain and had a long waiting time.

The Geely E2 Max is priced at 23,990 euros, which is equivalent to 106,600 złoty in Poland. This model features an engine with a power output of 85 kW/116 HP, a battery of 47.1 (~45) kWh, and promises a WLTP range of 345 kilometers, which is about 1,000 euros less than the VW ID. Polo Trend. The ID. Polo Trend offers slightly better range but slower 0-100 km/h acceleration, taking 11.5 seconds compared to 10.5 seconds for the ID. Polo Trend. The vehicle can charge from 30 to 80 percent capacity in 25 minutes.
There is also an Ultra version, which differs mainly in terms of additional features, but the manufacturer does not go into too much detail on the page (HERE). The Geely E2’s trunk capacity is 375 liters, which is a quite good figure for a rear-wheel drive vehicle, especially considering that the company highlights its ability to accommodate five passengers. An additional 70 liters is available in the front compartment.
