Zeekr Begins Building Its German Dealer Network

The Chinese brand Zeekr will now rely on traditional automobile dealerships in Germany alongside online direct sales and B2B distribution. The Jacobs Group and the Bleker Group, with locations in Aachen and Münster, are among the first partners in a network that is set to grow to 60 dealers by the end of 2027.

  • The Jacobs Group is established in the automotive trade in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Rhineland, and with Zeekr it is entering the Aachen Auto Mile. The Bleker Group brings its multi-brand trading expertise, with a focus on the Münsterland and Ruhrgebiet regions, to this new partnership.

At the new locations, customers can view Zeekr’s electric vehicles, take test drives, receive advice from staff, place orders for vehicles, and access financing options. In addition, it is possible to trade in old vehicles and pick up new ones on site.

For 2027, Zeekr plans to establish a comprehensive network with over 60 dealers across Germany. According to the company, discussions are already underway with additional potential partners in various regions of the country.

Zeekr Reaches 750 Orders in Germany

An expansion of sales efforts seems absolutely necessary. According to Zeekr’s own figures, it has received just a little over 750 orders since launching in Germany in December 2025. For comparison, here are some numbers from other Chinese brands: Xpeng delivered 5,773 vehicles in Germany from January to August 2026, Leapmotor reached 13,392 deliveries, and BYD even achieved 36,748 deliveries in Germany.

In addition to its current market entry strategy, Zeekr, a brand under China’s Geely Group, has already established an infrastructure with over 100 certified service partner locations for after-sales support. The digital sales model is now set to be supplemented by physical outlets in retail stores, with greater integration of local customer service.

One really should savor this comparison: Zeekr X Long Range — 42,990 €, 230 kW DC charging capacity. VW ID.3 Neo 58 kWh — 105 kW. Zeekr offers more than double the charging power, and that for a vehicle that costs only around 43,000 €. The Zeekr also comes with a 61 kWh battery, 405 km WLTP range, 250 kW power output, a large display, an AR head-up display, a panoramic glass roof, and features that make you wonder where Volkswagen has been over the past few years. While the ID.3 can achieve around 492 km WLTP range with its smaller battery, its fast charging performance pales in comparison and feels quite like an electric car from the past. And that’s exactly VW’s problem: while Zeekr continues to bring modern technology into lower-priced vehicle categories, Volkswagen is still selling cars where one would expect at least 100 kW charging capacity.

One should already be happy about that. Of course, the Zeekr isn’t better in every aspect. But when a Chinese electric car costing around 43,000 € far outperforms a current VW model in terms of charging speed and features, VW might need to start questioning whether “Made in Germany” alone is still considered a technical innovation.

How can one support this Chinese junk while at the same time 100,000 jobs in Germany are disappearing? Greed is clearly valued here. Where’s the pride in German quality craftsmanship? Greetings from Switzerland, hoping to remain outside the EU for a long time. Peter Bjarsch

Well, only the 61 kWh version has a charging capacity of 230 (not 250) kW. The 69 kWh battery has 150 kW, and the 49 kWh battery even only 130 kW. This is still quite good, but not as exceptional as the 230 kW of the mid-tier version.

This doesn’t surprise me. I tested a Zeekr 7GT last week. The handover and briefing for the test drive were terrible, with no enthusiasm at all, at a Shell gas station. Zeekr Hamburg is located in Lütjensee, 30 km outside Hamburg. I’ve been driving electric vehicles since 2002, including KIA EV6, EV6GT, and Hyundai Kona. I can only hope that Zeekr will soon have dealers who are more competent, able to provide technical leasing advice, and motivated to sell cars. The car itself is heavy, high-quality, fully equipped, and well-built. However, the operation and ergonomics, including the voice assistant, are among the worst I’ve ever experienced—even compared to Xpeng. Additionally, I ordered the Long Range RWD model for the test drive, but they gave me a GT Performance AWD instead. We didn’t become friends, and I ended the test drive after 40 minutes in a bad mood.
