The 2027 Zeekr 001 will launch in the first quarter of 2027 and is expected to feature Geely Smart Charging technology for faster charging.
The filing shows the model has a maximum power output of 370 kW and uses a lithium iron phosphate battery.
Geely Auto's (HKEX: 0175) premium brand Zeekr has filed for regulatory approval for an updated Zeekr 001, moving closer to its planned launch in the first quarter of 2027.
China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) included the updated Zeekr 001, an all-electric sedan, in its 413th catalog of vehicle models released for public comment on Tuesday. The comment period runs from November 4 to November 10.
The model is powered by a rear motor, designated TZ230XYC04, with a maximum output of 370 kW (496 hp).
It has a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph) or 280 km/h. It uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with cells supplied by Geely's Energee.

The filing provides no further battery details, though the updated Zeekr 001 is expected to feature Geely Smart Charging technology for faster charging.
Geely unveiled the technology in September, saying tests showed that the Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 equipped with the Shendun Golden Battery could charge from 10% to 70% in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, and from 10% to 97% in 8 minutes and 40 seconds.
The current Zeekr 001 went on sale on October 11, 2025, with an official starting price of 269,800 yuan ($40,160). It can charge from 10% to 80% in 7 minutes.
The updated Zeekr 001 measures 4,977 mm or 5,029 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,545 mm or 1,533 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,005 mm. Its curb weight is 2,350 kg or 2,420 kg.
Images show the updated Zeekr 001 retains the brand's design language, including a full-width taillight assembly.
Zeekr said on October 1 that the 2027 model-year 001 was scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027. It will retain the current model's shooting brake styling and 900-volt architecture while offering more personalization options.
The filing comes as Zeekr's sales face pressure. The brand delivered 32,483 vehicles in October, up 51.6% year-on-year but down 12.72% from September, ending a streak of 6 consecutive monthly records, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Alongside the updated Zeekr 001, the brand is preparing several other model updates and expanding overseas to support future sales.
The 2027 Zeekr 7X is scheduled to launch in China in the fourth quarter, while Zeekr also plans to introduce the 007 GT electric shooting brake in Australia during the same period.

The new model could enter production in 2028–2029, with Zeekr having previously signaled interest in the off-road segment.
