The Zeekr 9X is unexpectedly arriving in Europe. Price unknown, plug-in hybrid with a 55 kWh battery, seat vibrators

Geely Group opted for a bold strategic move. Instead of gradually expanding its offerings in Europe to new countries and models, it played its strongest card. The Zeekr 9X was introduced to the market — a flagship SUV that is a plug-in hybrid with a combustion engine (PHEV/EREV). It is large, powerful, relatively expensive even in China, and will have no doubts when competing with the new Audi Q9, BMW X7, or Mercedes GLS. The prices of the Zeekr 9X in the Old Continent have not been revealed, and the brand has still not officially entered Poland.

Zeekr 9X up close: specifications and everything we know
Power, acceleration, battery capacity, range
Dimensions and equipment
Let’s start with the vibrators: the main designer of the model boasted that the Naim audio system is equipped with 32 speakers and 8 vibrating devices built into the seats (video below, around 12:17 + source), which allow for a deeper immersion in music. The result can be experiencing the audio track as exceptionally powerful, as it’s tangible to the touch, without causing the windows to vibrate. Anyone who has installed a subwoofer instead of a rear seat in a Maluch knows that with high pressure fluctuations inside (loud sounds), the effect is quickly ruined by buzzing panels and windows.

Power, acceleration, battery capacity, range
The Zeekr 9X available in Europe is a powerful version, but not the most powerful — there’s a variant in China with over 1 MW of power. The car is equipped with two electric motors driving both axles (1+1), delivering a total maximum power of 660 kW/897 HP. This enables the Zeekr 9X to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. As mentioned, the internal combustion engine serves as a power generator and has no direct connection to the wheels. It’s a turbocharged unit with a 2-liter capacity and 205 kW/279 HP of power.

In a small passenger car, a combustion engine with such specifications would be impressive. But in the Zeekr 9X, it’s capable of handling even higher power levels. Thanks to its 900 V architecture, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in 9.5 minutes. With a battery capacity of 55 kWh, it’s easy to calculate that the average charging power in this range is around 240 kW.
Zeekr promises 179 WLTP units for the Zeekr 9X in pure electric mode, which amounts to 30.7 kWh/100 km – quite high. The total range with a full battery and fuel is 737 WLTP units. Note that these figures are preliminary.
The actual range of the Zeekr 9X. Keep in mind that the vehicle reports only about 487 kilometers with a battery charged to 85 percent and using fuel.
Dimensions and equipment
The Zeekr 9X is a full-size SUV with a length of 5.239 meters and a wheelbase of 3.169 meters (along with a height of 1.819 m and a width of 2.29 m including mirrors). It weighs 2.9 tons, can seat 6 people (2+2+2), and is equipped with everything a luxury SUV buyer might desire: massage-equipped captain’s seats in the second row, massage seats in the first row, a ceiling-mounted screen that can be moved between the second and third rows of seats, a dual display in the cockpit, and a body design so heavy it resembles a tank.
It should be remembered that the model is not a pure electric vehicle, so it will not be able to drive on bus lanes or park for free in paid parking areas in Poland. Configurator HERE, list of available dealerships HERE.
