Xpeng and Electronity plan to install over 100 charging stations in Mexico

Xpeng will build more than 100 charging stations in Mexico together with the Mexican retail network Electronity. Under the partnership with the network operated by Drivewatt México, 30 fast-charging stations are set to be installed by the end of 2026. The remaining 70 charging stations are planned to be added by the end of 2027.

Xpeng is advancing its activities in Mexico by expanding its charging infrastructure. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer officially entered the Mexican market in spring 2026 and began selling its G6 and G9 models in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. Now, a partnership with a local charging provider is set to enhance the offerings for customers.
Under this partnership, the charging network brand “Xpeng | Electronity” will be created. Xpeng customers will receive a 10 percent discount on charging costs for one year at participating Electronity stations. Additionally, the companies plan to integrate an interactive map showing the locations of charging stations into Xpeng’s digital platforms, allowing drivers to more easily find available charging points and plan their routes with stops for charging.
Collaboration is also planned for the distribution of charging accessories: Authorized Xpeng dealers are expected to offer such products to customers of other electric vehicle brands in the future. This means the offerings are not intended solely for Xpeng owners.
Through this partnership, the manufacturer relies on a local infrastructure partner to expand its presence in the Mexican market. The phased approach aims to increase the number of charging stations to over 100 within about two years. No details regarding specific locations or the charging capacity of the planned stations are available yet.
