The Xpeng Mona L05 is heading for export. It will be sold in 65 countries, with a launch on October 29.

Xpeng has begun global shipments of the Mona L05 model, which will be available for sale in 65 countries and regions. The company announced this on Weibo on October 26, three days before its Chinese debut at the “Mona World” event. Xpeng did not disclose the size of the first batch, the list of markets, or delivery dates.
Mona L05: Versions, Prices, and Range
The L05 is the third model in the Mona series and the second, after the L03, to be designed from the start for multiple markets. This five-seater SUV sits above the L03 in terms of positioning. Versions with the steering wheel on the left and right were developed simultaneously.
In China, pre-orders started on October 15. Prices range from 169,800 yuan (approximately $25,000) to 191,800 yuan for the most expensive version. There are five configurations available, either as a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) or with a range extender (EREV).
Xpeng claims that its BEV versions have a range of up to 635 km on the CLTC cycle. The EREV variants can travel 310 km on battery power alone (CLTC), and 1,310 km with both the fuel tank and battery fully charged. The company has not specified which powertrains will be available in specific foreign markets.
Xpeng sent 660 vehicles to 25 countries for testing and, according to its own data, has covered over 5 million kilometers. Tests included evaluating cabin noise at high speeds in Germany, the performance of the powertrain at high altitudes in Mexico, and reliability at 50 degrees Celsius in the United Arab Emirates and at minus 25 degrees Celsius in Norway.
Xpeng also announced on its slides the European debut of the Turing system. It refers to the second-generation VLA model with an effective computing power of up to 1500 TOPS, but no dates were given. The materials also mentioned C-NCAP 2024, Euro NCAP 2027, and ANCAP 2027 standards, along with 7 airbags and a body made of steel at 2000 MPa strength. These are the standards the car was designed to meet. There are no results for crash tests yet.
Mona and Europe in Numbers
The Mona series sold over 350,000 units in two years, averaging just over 14,000 units per month. According to the manufacturer, the M03 sedan has been China’s best-selling electric sedan in the 100,000–200,000 yuan range for 24 months now.
The L03 made its global debut in Munich in July. Xpeng claims it received over 12,000 orders in Europe in less than three months.
Exports are becoming increasingly important for the company. Total overseas sales exceeded 100,000 vehicles, with about 60% going to Europe. In the second quarter of 2026, the company sold over 20,000 vehicles overseas for the first time in a single quarter, representing an 81% year-on-year increase. By the end of September, cumulative sales in Denmark, Norway, France, and Germany each surpassed 10,000 vehicles. The company operates over 500 dealerships in 79 countries and regions.
Pressure in the fourth quarter
Things are tougher at home. In September, Xpeng delivered 41,256 vehicles, the highest figure this year. This was 5.5% more than in August but 0.78% less on a year-on-year basis. In the first nine months, the company delivered 284,367 vehicles, which is 9.2% less than the previous year.
President He Xiaopeng announced in August that the goal for the fourth quarter is to sell over 60,000 vehicles per month. New models, including the G9L and Mona L05, are set to help achieve this target. This represents approximately a 45% increase compared to September.
For Poles, the most important thing is what Xpeng didn’t mention: the L05 will be available in 65 markets, but without a list or timeline, it’s unclear whether it will reach us and in what powertrain version. The price in China gives little insight into the European price, and Turing’s announcement without a date is currently just a promise.
