Xpeng L05: This new electric SUV will arrive in Europe in early 2027

Xpeng continues its push into the European market. The Chinese automaker has just confirmed the arrival of its new L05, a large electric family SUV, by 2027. With its 4.87 meters in length, spacious trunk, and range of up to 635 kilometers, it has many strong selling points. What remains to be determined is its price on the Old Continent.
Xpeng clearly has no intention of slowing down. After expanding its lineup with several new models, including the L03, the Chinese manufacturer is preparing to bring the L05 to Europe. This new model will complement an existing lineup that already includes the G6, focusing more on the needs of families.
With its 4.87 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, and a wheelbase of 2.94 meters, the Xpeng L05 boasts generous dimensions. It even exceeds the G6 in length. However, its main advantage lies at the back: the trunk offers 702 liters of space, which increases to 1,913 liters when the rear seats are folded down. Electric versions also feature an additional 102-liter compartment under the hood.

The interior emphasizes screens. Xpeng has removed traditional instruments behind the steering wheel in favor of a 26.8-inch head-up display. A 17.3-inch central screen completes the setup. Some trims even come with a third screen for the rear passengers.
In terms of design, the L05 bears a resemblance to the Xiaomi YU7. It features a sleek silhouette, a long hood, and rounded lines that give it a dynamic appearance. The similarity is especially evident from the side, with a sloping roof line and closely spaced glass surfaces. However, XPeng opts for a slightly more conventional approach, without attempting to revolutionize the aesthetic standards of this segment.
