Xpeng L03 in Poland. Prices, variants, and EREV with a range of over 1000 km

Xpeng L03 in Poland. Prices, variants, and EREV with a range of over 1000 km

Xpeng’s Polish branch announced that the L03 model will be available for purchase in Poland starting in October. The price list begins at 154,900 zł for the Standard Range version. This is 4,900 zł lower than we initially expected, so Xpeng has already delivered a small surprise from the start.

The range itself also looks interesting. There will be four fully electric versions available, along with an EREV variant equipped with a combustion engine. Interestingly, the latter is priced exactly the same as the electric L03 Long Range version. It seems Xpeng aims to attract not only those who are committed to electric vehicles but also drivers who still want the option to refuel and hit the road without searching for a charger.

Xpeng L03. Prices and Versions in Poland

In Poland, the Xpeng L03 will be available in five variants. The cheapest version is the L03 RWD Standard Range, which will feature an LFP battery with a gross capacity of 58.3 kWh, approximately 57 kWh net, and rear-wheel drive. According to the manufacturer, it is expected to offer a WLTP range of 445 km, with a price of 154,900 zł.

For an additional 13,000 zł, we get the L03 RWD Long Range. Here, the battery capacity increases to 71.2 kWh gross, around 69 kWh net, and the claimed WLTP range rises to 520 km. The price of this version is 167,900 zł. On paper, this variant seems the most reasonable if we prioritize a balance of price, range, and a larger battery.

It becomes more sporty and well-equipped from here. The L03 RWD Long Range Ultra costs 189,900 zł and also has a 71.2 kWh battery capacity, but its range drops to 480 km according to WLTP standards. Higher up is the L03 AWD Performance Ultra at 206,900 zł. This model features all-wheel drive and around 530 HP, but at the cost of a range of 440 km per WLTP measurement.

On paper, there’s a fairly simple relationship: the more features and performance, the fewer kilometers one can drive on a single charge. For those who prioritize price-to-range ratio, the basic Long Range version seems much more attractive than the pricier Ultra variants.

The L03 won’t be a small car

The Xpeng L03 is 4.65 meters long, has a wheelbase of 2.85 meters, and is 1.89 to 1.93 meters wide without mirrors. It is therefore a vehicle whose dimensions make it well-suited to serve as a family car rather than just an urban electric vehicle.

In addition, it features a trunk with a capacity of 539 liters. Depending on the version, there is also a frunk with a capacity of 69 to 102 liters. For an electric car in this class, these figures are quite reasonable and should allow for normal use even during family trips.

One of the more interesting parameters is also charging. Xpeng claims it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes. Importantly, the L03 uses a 400 V architecture and LFP batteries. The manufacturer also mentions charging at a rate of 3 C. This sounds good, but at this stage we must wait for actual measurements and above all, the charging curve. The maximum power itself is interesting, but what’s far more important for users is how long the car can maintain it.

PowerX, or EREV for those who don’t want to switch to all-electric vehicles yet

The most interesting version in the entire lineup might be the L03 PowerX RWD Long Range EREV. This is a car that uses a series hybrid system. The electric motor drives the wheels, while the combustion engine serves as an energy generator.

This allows Xpeng to claim a total range of 1,017 km according to WLTP. Of course, this figure should not be directly compared to that of pure electric vehicles, as it includes both driving on energy stored in the battery and later operation using a combustion engine.

What’s more interesting, however, is the price of the PowerX. It costs 167,900 zł, which is exactly the same as the electric L03 Long Range.

This could be an interesting option for those who want to drive primarily on electricity but are still not convinced by electric vehicles. It’s especially suitable for drivers who often travel long distances and don’t want to plan their trips based on the availability of charging stations.

Of course, the EREV also has its limitations. The battery capacity is only 37.25 kWh gross, around 36 kWh net, and the vehicle comes with rear-wheel drive. For someone who can charge the car at home and mainly drives within Poland, a fully electric vehicle will still be the simpler option. However, the PowerX makes sense as a kind of bridge between gasoline and electric vehicles.

The Xpeng L03 Will Be Highly Equipped

Xpeng also aims to attract customers with its features. The available options already include a 15.9-inch screen, a Head Up Display, heated and ventilated seats, an Xopera audio system with nine speakers, active noise reduction, V2L output of up to 6 kW, and automatic parking.

In higher trims, front seat massage, electrically adjustable rear seats, and an AI assistant are also expected to be available. This sounds quite luxurious for a car whose prices start at 154,900 PLN.

It should be noted, however, that some of the features and equipment still need confirmation in the final specifications for the Polish market. This includes certain software elements and driver assistance systems. Xpeng also promises features like NGP and VLA 2.0, but they are not currently available in Europe.

Therefore, I would approach these most impressive announcements with caution for now. Luxurious equipment is one thing, but functions that work in Europe are another. As of now, the L03 is positioned as a car with a very strong set of driver assistance systems, rather than an autonomous vehicle.

Xpeng L03 starts in Poland at 154,900 PLN

Xpeng has thus prepared a quite interesting offer. 154,900 zł for the Standard Range version is a reasonable entry price, especially considering the car’s size. The additional cost for the Long Range version is 13,000 zł, and in return we get a larger battery and more driving range.

The PowerX version is even more intriguing. At 167,900 zł, the same price as the electric Long Range version, it may appeal to those who want to use electric power but are not yet ready to completely abandon an internal combustion engine.

On paper, the L03 looks truly interesting. It features a large wheelbase, a spacious trunk, a frunk, robust standard equipment, fast charging, several drive configurations, and a rather unusual option in Europe—the ability to choose between a fully electric model and an EREV version.

The most important part remains now. Xpeng still needs to demonstrate how the L03 drives and what these all claims look like in reality. The first vehicles are expected to arrive in Poland in October, and then it will be possible to assess more accurately whether this Chinese newcomer truly has something to offer Polish drivers.
