Xpeng is completing work on the Polish translation of the car’s system. All models, update in the second half of November

Xpeng Polska officially announced that it is concluding work on the Polish language version of the XOS system used in its vehicles. The technical development in China has already been completed, and the translations are currently being processed, verified, and implemented. The release of the language package as an over-the-air update is scheduled for around a month from now, in the second half of November 2026. Until then, drivers will have to use the existing language.
Chinese origin, but it will start speaking in Polish
Chinese electric cars face a tough start in Europe. They must convince buyers that they are not cheap “Made in China” products, impress with their interior design, attract them with price, and avoid deterring them through their communication style. Many manufacturers start by using English, yet a customer who receives a new technology vehicle (EV) that uses unfamiliar terminology in another language and is primarily operated via a screen... has every right to feel slightly intimidated. This is especially true since even cars with translation features can have issues like this (Leapmotor B05):

Xpeng had promised a Polish version of the system by 2025. The availability of the language pack was supposed to be delayed by nearly twelve months “due to reasons independent of the local team.” Now, the global development center in China has completed the implementation work and is rolling out translations “in collaboration with the Xpeng Polska team.” All models are set to receive the update in the second half of November, with the Xpeng L03 and G9L being sold already with the Polish version of the XOS system (source).

The issue might have another layer. According to information obtained by Manager Magazin, Volkswagen Group has decided to sell cars in Europe equipped with software not from Rivian but rather Xpeng’s. The Chinese software is set to be installed in Volkswagen, Skoda, and Cupra models, allowing the group to save billions of euros. That’s not all: the software will serve only as an add-on, as the cars are reportedly to use an electrical and electronic architecture (E/E) developed by Xpeng. This architecture is expected to be used in up to 75 percent of models from these brands (source).

Editor’s note from Elektrowozu: This would mean a significant marginalization of solutions developed under the MEB platform.
