Xpeng has begun delivering its L03 model in Europe. CEO He Xiaopeng personally handed over the vehicle to the first customer in Paris in mid-October 2026. The mid-size SUV made its world debut in July at an event. The delivery took place ahead of the Paris Auto Show, where He Xiaopeng delivered a keynote speech as the first CEO of a Chinese automaker to do so.
The company founder’s personal involvement underscores the strategic importance of the European market for Xpeng. Despite challenging conditions such as EU tariffs and relatively slow sales, the brand aims to signal its long-term intention of establishing itself as a volume manufacturer in Europe.
The European version of the XPeng L03 is available as a pure battery-electric vehicle or with a range extender. Depending on the trim level, the BEV version uses different battery sizes that are said to provide ranges of between 445 and 520 kilometers. At fast charging stations, the manufacturer claims a charging time of around 20 minutes to reach 80 percent charge from 20 percent. The starting price in Germany is 35,600 euros.
As the first export model, the L03 uses the Google Maps Auto SDK. This means that the infotainment system operates with an independently developed Xpeng operating system, but for navigation, real-time traffic data, and charging route planning, it relies natively on Google’s live data without the need to connect a smartphone.
In addition, Xpeng equips its entry-level models with comprehensive assistance systems for automatic parking and assisted lane changes. In China, this series is sold under the additional name MONA, an acronym for “Made of new AI.” It underscores the focus on AI-driven technologies, which was also highlighted by the first European customer in a conversation with the CEO as one of the main reasons for purchase.
