Xiaomi has a handy car vacuum. You can fold it in half and store it in the door.

The Xiaomi foldable vacuum weighs 446 grams, comes with five attachments, and has a runtime of up to 40 minutes. In addition to cleaning the car, it can also be used to blow air or inflate floating rings.

Fits in a compartment after cleaning

Debris between seats or dust in compartments can be a hassle in a car. Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Car Vacuum Cleaner Portable Edition for such cleaning tasks. This compact vacuum stands out mainly due to its foldable body, which can be folded in half.

When in use, it takes the form of a long, narrow tube that allows you to reach under seats and into the trunk. Once folded, it can be stored in a door compartment. Of course, the specific storage options depend on the interior of your car.

Without attachments, it weighs 446 grams, and when unfolded, it measures 366 millimeters. For quick cleanups, it’s a relatively light device to hold. It’s also easy to take home, where it can be used, for example, to clean a desk.

Up to 40 Minutes of Operation and Charging via USB-C

The brushless motor creates a vacuum of up to 20,000 Pa according to the manufacturer. A cyclone system separates dirt from the airflow, helping to prevent clogging of the filter. Practical tests will show how well it handles things like stuck hairs.

Power is supplied by three lithium cells, each with a capacity of 2,500 mAh. In energy-saving mode, Xiaomi claims a runtime of up to 40 minutes. At maximum performance, the operating time drops to about 16 minutes, which may be sufficient for a quick interior cleanup.

You can recharge it through USB-C with charging support of up to 22.5 W. A full charge takes approximately two hours. Therefore, it’s advisable to check the battery level in advance when planning a cleaning task, especially if you want to use it at maximum performance.

Five Nozzles Useful Outside the Car Too

The package includes a slit nozzle for gaps between seats and narrow compartments. The soft brush is suitable for the dashboard, center console, or ventilation grills. The manufacturer also recommends it for cleaning computer keyboards.

The wider attachment helps clean larger surfaces. You can use the blowing nozzle to remove dust from hard-to-reach corners, and the last attachment is used to inflate small items, such as a float for a summer vacation.

The cyclone unit can be removed as a whole to dump the trapped dirt. Both the filter and the cyclone part are washable, so regular maintenance doesn’t require complicated disassembly. Allow the washed parts to dry thoroughly before using them again.

In China, it started at around 600 crowns

During the crowdfunding campaign, Xiaomi offered the vacuum cleaner for 189 yuan, which is approximately 600 CZK. The campaign ended on October 28. The recommended regular price is set at 269 yuan, equivalent to around 880 CZK when converted.

The amounts mentioned apply to the Chinese market. Importing it could increase the final price due to shipping and other costs. Xiaomi has not announced an international release yet, so interested parties must wait for confirmation of its official availability in the Czech Republic.
