Summer discount on GreenWay Polska subscriptions: 79,99 -> 39,99 PLN/month, 29,99 -> 4,99 PLN/month. Plus a 50% charge reduction.

GreenWay informed its newsletter subscribers ahead of the launch that, starting from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, it would reduce subscription prices. The Energia Max plan will drop from 79.99 to 39.99 zloty per month, while the cheaper Energia Plus plan will cost only 4.99 zloty per month instead of 29.99. Additionally, the provider promises even lower charging prices of up to 50 percent at selected charging stations. The promotion is valid from July 1 to September 30, 2026 (source).

Update: 2026/07/01, 8:28 AM: The provider released a map of stations with discounted prices. The reductions are typically 30 and 40 percent, bringing the base charging price down to 2.09 or 1.79 zloty/kWh.

A Small Catch

The changes to subscriptions at current charging rates would look like this:

Energia Max: 79.99 → 39.99 PLN/month, DC 2.1 PLN/kWh, AC 1.6 PLN/kWh,

Energia Plus: 29.99 → 4.99 PLN/month, DC 2.4 PLN/kWh, AC 1.75 PLN/kWh,

Energia Standard (unchanged): no subscription fee, DC 2.99 PLN/kWh, AC 1.89 PLN/kWh.

That’s not all: the company will also reduce rates by up to 50 percent at selected charging stations—their map is available HERE on the website. As a result, GreenWay will transform from a company with many good locations but high prices to one with relatively affordable rates, although it doesn’t always keep its promises regarding available power. Partner stations, which operate under their own rules (and pricing), may also pose issues.

We can easily calculate that under the Energia Plus subscription, a reduction of 25 zlotys in the subscription fee is equivalent to only 10.4 kWh at direct current (DC). With Energia Max, it’s 19 kWh, which is barely enough for one charge regardless of the battery capacity. We assume therefore that the company is following in the footsteps of telecommunications operators offering “a phone for one zloty,” meaning it’s primarily trying to attract new subscribers, as market experience shows that some of them will always stay.

A small catch

We are not yet aware of the rules for plans with lower subscriptions, so it should be remembered that the operator’s terms allow cancellation of the Energia Plus and Energia Max plans “(…) starting from the first day of the following month, provided that the plan has been used for at least one full calendar month.” Therefore, if we activate a subscription on July 2, we will only be able to cancel it starting from September 1, as long as we meet the cancellation deadlines. Activation after August 1 means cancellation is only possible starting from October 1.
