VW has started pre-sales for the ID. Cross with a 37-kWh battery (net). This new version complements the previously available model with a 52 kWh battery and is aimed primarily at customers who mainly travel in urban areas or on commuting routes. The starting price is 27,995 euros for the ID. Cross Trend model with 85 kW (116 hp).
The smaller battery provides a WLTP range of up to 324 kilometers and is available with two powertrain options, delivering 85 kW (116 hp) or 99 kW (135 hp), respectively. The top speed is 160 km/h, making the vehicle suitable for highway driving as well. At DC fast charging stations, the battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 23 minutes at a rate of up to 90 kW.
VW offers the 37-kWh version in the Trend, Life, and Style trims, with the basic vehicle concept remaining unchanged regardless of battery size. The base Trend version comes standard with features such as front and rear parking assist, along with smartphone integration via “App Connect.”
The higher trim levels offer additional comfort and technology features, including “Connected Travel Assist” depending on the configuration, a Harman-Kardon sound system, a panoramic glass roof, and electrically adjustable 12-way seats with massage function.
Those seeking greater range must pay at least 31,935 euros for the next higher trim level. VW offers the new ID. Cross with both a 37-kWh battery and a 52-kWh battery pack through the higher model variants Life and Style. This allows for up to 427 kilometers of range per charge, depending on the configuration.
