VW ID. Cross now starting at 27,995 euros: New versions with 37-kWh battery available for order

The VW ID. Cross is now also available in versions with the smaller 37-kWh battery. The base Trend version with an 85-kW powertrain costs 27,995 euros. Alternatively, there is a 99-kW version in the Life and Style trims, priced at 31,925 euros and 34,510 euros respectively. An “ID. Purchase Bonus” of 2,500 euros is offered starting with the Life trim. For the top Style trim, it’s 3,500 euros.

At its launch in July, the VW ID. Cross was only available in the highest-powered version with 155 kW and a large 52-kWh battery, in the premium Life and Style trims. As a result, the cheapest version cost 36,525 euros (ID. Cross Life with 155 kW and 52-kWh battery). With the new variants, the starting prices have dropped significantly:

In summary

The VW ID. Cross is now available for ordering in all three engine-battery combinations and all three trims. With 155 kW, the currently orderable ID. Cross is almost overpowered for a city car. On the other hand, its 427 km range is somewhat low for longer trips. VW charges at least 34,025 euros for it. The new versions with a smaller battery are available starting at around 28,000 euros, but they have a maximum range of 324 km.
