The Voyah Passion S is now available for purchase at 229,900 yuan. A full video of the tunnel loop drive was shown during its launch.

Voyah officially launched the Passion S model, a high-end electric vehicle priced in China at 229,900–279,900 yuan, which is approximately 119,000–145,000 Polish zlotys. During the launch, the brand also released an unedited video of the famous 360-degree loop in the tunnel from August 13, 2026, as the internet had largely doubted the previous clip.

Chinese consumers appreciate ads with unique styles. This time, we saw something similar to Michael Schumacher’s famous stunt in the Mercedes SLS AMG, only this time it involves Dongfeng’s large electric vehicle.

The unedited video aims to end debates about whether the loop was real

Two days ago, Voyah showcased a drive through the “360° Tunnel Big Loop.” The brand has maintained from the start that the video contained no special effects, but the reactions were quite harsh. It’s understandable, as such content appears more like an ad designed for virality rather than technical accuracy.

The manufacturer has now released a full, single-shot video of the entire journey. Earlier, a video of a failed attempt circulated online, showing the disguised prototype falling from the tunnel ceiling. This is strong evidence that someone actually tried it, rather than designing everything on a computer. Additionally, no fire occurred after the impact, which is another reminder that modern traction batteries can withstand more than what online rumors suggest.

Specifications: 800 V, up to 475 kW, and 10 minutes for 20-80% charging.

The Passion S is a large vehicle with dimensions of 5050 x 1998 x 1656 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The manufacturer lists an air resistance coefficient of 0.24, 21-inch wheels, as well as 19 air intakes and 10 aerodynamic channels. It also features a camping detail: two hooks on the trunk lid, each capable of holding 3 kg, for hanging a projector screen. Yes, really.

Inside, we have two 15.6-inch central screens with a 2.5K resolution, an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, a 29-inch AR-HUD, Harmony Space 5.2 system, and a 6.6-liter refrigerator with a temperature range of -6 to 50 degrees Celsius. For audio? 2160 watts and 27 speakers. You simply can’t get premium models without these these days.

The assistance systems include an 896-line LiDAR, five 4D radars, and Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 platform with City NCA, Highway NCA, and P2P 3.0 functions. It sounds impressive on paper, but with Chinese driver assistance systems, one always has to wait for real-world tests beyond just the presentations.

The powertrain is available in two versions. The rear-wheel-drive version has 300 kW, while the AWD version delivers a total of 475 kW, with a 175 kW engine in the front and a 300 kW engine in the back. The batteries have capacities of 81 or 98 kWh, the architecture is 800 V 5C, and the range according to CLTC is 630-740 km. The manufacturer promises a 20-80 percent charge in 10 minutes, with even 474 km of range regained during that time. CLTC is, of course, CLTC, so it will need to be converted with a large margin for European real-world conditions.

The starting price has dropped compared to the pre-order price of the top version, which was previously priced at 309,900 yuan. As of now, there is no information on whether the model will enter Europe or Poland, but if it ever makes it to our market, it will likely be more of a premium novelty than a mass-market hit.

Voyah wanted to sell a car today and also defend his viral video. It seems he was more successful with the latter. And after watching the full video, do you still buy into that looping track, or does it still smell like a marketing trick to you?
