Volkswagen ID. Tiguan: PRICE starting at 163,390 PLN for 61 (58) kWh and at 199,690 PLN for 82 (77) kWh. Plenty included in the base model, accessories available at an extra cost

Before the weekend, Volkswagen revealed the prices for the VW ID. Tiguan, the electric successor to the ID.4. Contrary to concerns, they are not alarming and are at an acceptable level for a new vehicle, as long as we don’t start setting unrealistic expectations or wanting a premium audio system or a head-up display (HUD). The Volkswagen ID. Tiguan with a 61 (58) kWh battery and a 140 kW/190 HP engine costs from 163,390 złoty, while the VW ID.4 in a nearly identical configuration but at the end of its market lifecycle was sold for 127,490 złoty. The only option missing from the lineup is the version with a slightly larger battery.

VW ID. Tiguan pricing compared to the ID.4

First and foremost: the price list is HERE. The Volkswagen ID. Tiguan is a vehicle that straddles the C- and D-SUV segments, with a length of 4.62–4.63 meters and a wheelbase of 2.77 meters, making it slightly longer without an extended wheelbase—this dimension comes from the use of the MEB+ RWD platform. The base battery version is now built using LFP cells instead of Li-NMC, resulting in a slightly lower total capacity, though the usable capacity remains unchanged: 62 (58) kWh → 61 (58) kWh with LFP in the ID. Tiguan. The battery pack can go from 10% to 80% charge in 26 minutes.

VW ID. Tiguan in the base Trend trim

The base model features the APP350 engine powered solely by a smaller battery. With the larger 82 (77) kWh pack, the much more powerful APP550 becomes standard, which we have already described in detail /see: VW ID. Tiguana technical specs/. The smaller battery and weaker engine are the only configuration that allows purchase of the Trend trim level. It comes standard with black fabric upholstery, 19-inch steel wheels, LED headlights and taillights, a 15-inch central display, two-zone climate control, a rain sensor or rear camera, but it lacks a heated steering wheel, heated seats, or even a V2L adapter. Not to mention a heat pump, as it is never standard in MEB vehicles.

The Life version includes additional features such as the Innovision Pro navigation system with charging station location detection, 19-inch aluminum wheels instead of steel ones, and we can opt for a glass roof or 30-color ambient interior lighting. There are still no matrix headlights, and the audio setup consists of seven speakers, but the seats and steering wheel are already heated. We can choose a larger battery capacity, a range of over 600 WLTP units, and a more powerful engine — this is probably the best option to get started with this model.

If we’re interested in the most luxurious version of the Style, we can purchase it with a large battery and rear-wheel drive (starting at 212,390 PLN) or all-wheel drive with 220 kW/299 hp (starting at 227,390 PLN). Even in this version, we’ll have to pay extra for different paint colors, but the light gray interior is included at no additional cost. The manufacturer seems to assume that this particular buyer has a larger budget, as the Harman-Kardon audio system with a display in front of the passenger costs an extra 6,450 PLN, while front seat massage functions require an additional 5,120 PLN. The Head-up display is only available in the more expensive Technology Pro package (+8,060 PLN), although it can be bought with the slightly less comprehensive Technology package in the Life edition (+6,180 PLN).

In 2027, a new battery with a capacity of ~95 (90) kWh should be available, so those who are not in a hurry should not feel pressured to buy. The VW ID. Tiguana configurator is HERE.
