Norway’s best-selling car is, as usual, a used vehicle.

The used electric vehicle market is growing rapidly, and earlier this year, the Traffic Information Council’s Used Car Report showed that over half of Norwegian used car buyers are considering purchasing a used electric vehicle.

Are you one of them? Then you should consider attending the Electric Vehicle Association’s online seminar on used car purchases on Thursday, October 29th at 6:00 PM. It’s completely free for all association members.

All participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Sign up to be better prepared for making a good electric vehicle purchase.

Are you already a member and want to sign up? Check the email you received on Thursday, where you will find the registration link.

As a member, you can attend the online seminar for free. Time: Thursday, October 29th, from 18:00 to 18:45.

If you have just become a member and haven’t received an invitation, send an email to some@elbil.no, and we will send you the link.

Get advice from a lawyer and electric vehicle expert

At the online seminar, you will meet Ståle Frydenlund, who is in charge of vehicle information at the Electric Vehicle Association, and lawyer Emil Morgenlie Skei from law firm Molteberg Nilsen.

Together, they will provide valuable advice on what to consider before purchasing, as well as your rights if you unfortunately discover that the vehicle you bought has defects you were not aware of.

Attorney Skei has extensive experience with car cases and is well aware of the conflicts that can arise in the used car market.

He will cover topics such as the differences between buying a used car privately and from a dealer, as well as what typically happens in dispute cases.

The Most Expensive Part to Replace in Electric Cars

In recent years, Frydenlund from the Electric Vehicle Association has spent a lot of time testing the durability of electric car batteries, which are the most expensive component to replace in these vehicles.

In the online seminar, he will provide tips on what to consider regarding battery performance in electric cars that are relevant to you.

“It’s not uncommon for an electric car with 250,000 kilometers on it to still have 80-90 percent of its battery capacity remaining like a new one, but not all batteries are error-free,” says Frydenlund.
