A 'dark' version of Spain's most successful electric motorcycle brand makes its market debut: this special edition available in only 500 units

We mentioned earlier in this report that the Barcelona-based brand Stark Future seemed to have found the philosopher’s stone in the world of electric motorcycles: it appears that their focus on enduro and cross riding styles has proven most successful with these bikes, which are still viewed skeptically due to their lack of range compared to combustion engines.

However, their focus on disciplines requiring shorter distances seems to be attracting users in fields where environmental considerations are also important: electric motorcycles do not pollute and make no noise.

But just then, Stark Future enters the scene and introduces the Varg in an SM version, that is, Supermotard, challenging those who claim electric motorcycles have no place on the road. It’s true that a Supermotard isn’t designed as a mile-eating motorcycle, but the challenge has been thrown down. And it seems their experiment wasn’t a total failure, as they now release an exclusive special edition, limited to 500 units worldwide: the Varg SM SKÖLL.

Darkness arrives with the Varg SM

It is the constant in this special edition: black color. The new SM SKÖLL, limited to 500 units, features a matte black body, as well as black engine covers and swingarm, along with a black Alcantara-like saddle. It also comes equipped with exclusive components such as an anodized black aluminum fork leg or titanium footpegs.

But this edition goes a step further: in addition to the footpegs, the Varg SM SKÖLL features titanium fasteners, all of which help reduce its weight by a full 1.1 kg—quite impressive. The total weight is just over 123 kg.

The other components, such as the suspension (KYB) and brakes (Brembo), remain standard, yet this does not compromise the quality. The tires are almost competitive in nature: Pirelli is the supplier brand, with the Diablo Rosso IV model chosen for use.

The engine: the 80 HP Alpha version

The engine features what they call Alpha treatment, meaning it comes standard with 80 HP of power and a torque output of 914 Nm per wheel, an incredible figure for navigating the most challenging roads. To ensure safety, the engine is equipped with fully adjustable dynamic traction control.

The battery has a capacity of 7.2 kWh, providing sufficient range for its intended use: 118 km in mixed urban driving conditions, with up to 79 km on highways. The standard charger is a 16A unit, allowing the Varg SM SKÖLL to be charged in just 2 hours at 240V voltage.

As is standard, it comes equipped with the Arkenstone smartphone, which functions as a multifunctional display: showing information on engine parameters, customization options, GPS navigation, and countless other features.

The price of this jewelry is 14,990 euros, 2,000 euros more than the standard version. Is the difference justified? We believe it is due to its exclusivity.
