The Citroen e-C3 offers two different approaches to compact electric vehicles. The Urban Range is designed primarily for daily commuting, while the version with a larger battery provides greater range and a more powerful fast charging option.

The engine output remains at 113 HP. What changes are the battery capacities, at 30 and 44 kWh, along with some features that affect vehicle usage. Let’s examine all the differences.

Citroen e-C3, Engine and Batteries

All e-C3 models use a front-mounted electric motor with 113 HP and 125 Nm of torque, offering front-wheel drive, but they differ in two versions based on battery capacity (both using LFP chemistry).

The 30 kWh Urban Range version is designed primarily for urban use. The Italian pricing lists a range of 204 km on the combined WLTP cycle, which increases to 300 km when considering only urban driving. The reported energy consumption ranges from 16.7 to 17.3 kWh/100 km.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds, with a top speed of 125 km/h.

The most significant difference compared to the larger battery lies in charging. On direct current, the Urban Range can accept up to 30 kW, taking about 36 minutes to go from 20% to 80% charge. Thus, it is better suited for charging during daily stops rather than short stops on long trips.

The 44 kWh e-C3, also known as Comfort Range, retains the same power output but increases the driving range. The combined range listed is 307 km, while the urban range reaches 440 km. The declared fuel consumption ranges from 16.2 to 19.0 kWh/100 km, depending on the configuration.

Performance has also improved: the 0-100 km/h time drops to 10.4 seconds and the top speed increases to 132 km/h.

Fast charging on this Citroen reaches 100 kW in direct current. Thanks to this value, despite the larger battery, it takes about 26 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%, ten minutes less than the Urban Range.

In alternating current, both versions come equipped with a 7.4 kW single-phase charger. The 44 kWh version offers an optional 11 kW three-phase charger.
