Transit City: Ford Pro Unveils More Body Variant Options
Ford Pro showcases the full range of body styles for the new Transit City at the IAA Transportation in Hannover, the newest and fully electric member of the Transit family. Additionally, Ford Pro presents the larger E-Transit with an expanded battery and increased range.

The focus of Ford Pro’s booth at the IAA Transportation in Hannover (Hall 13 / C90) is the newly introduced Transit City for urban delivery tasks, along with a new battery option for the larger E-Transit. These additions address the rising demands from commercial customers for improved efficiency and range.
Transit City Also Available with Bed and Cargo Box
The all-electric Transit City, starting at 35,990 euros, makes its public debut at the exhibition stand following its digital premiere in March — and this time in several new body styles. Previously known mainly as a van, Ford Pro is now showcasing the model in its full range of body types for the first time. These include vans in two lengths and heights (L1H1 and L2H2), as well as a cargo box and a bed. Ford Pro identifies bakeries, landscape gardeners, and delivery services as potential customers for the Transit City.
Special emphasis is placed on its suitability as a chassis for customized conversions in the 1-tonne payload class. With cargo box and bed options, such conversions can be ordered directly through the one-stop-shop service at Transit Centers. For more specialized requirements, the company also collaborates with certified bodybuilders.
E-Transit Now Available with 96-kWh Battery
In addition to the lightweight van, Ford Pro is also targeting the 2-tonne segment by equipping the E-Transit with a new 96-kWh battery. This increased storage capacity enables a range of up to 432 kilometers according to the WLTP standard, representing an increase of 115 kilometers compared to the standard 68 kWh version.
The new E-Transit version supports DC charging at up to 180 kW. This allows the range to be increased by up to 120 kilometers in ten minutes, while the charging process from 10% to 80% is expected to take 28 minutes. The model is now available for ordering in both van and double-cab configurations.
With these product launches, Ford Pro aims to reinforce its position as a leader in electrified trucks. The four variants of the new all-electric Transit City, along with the larger battery for the E-Transit, are designed to help business customers operate their fleets efficiently without compromising on emissions in daily use.
Ford Pro with Uptime Services for Fleet Operators
To reduce operating costs, Ford Pro also introduces data-driven subscription services, Ford Uptime Services and Ford Uptime Insights, for fleet operators across Germany. Following a successful pilot project involving around 11,000 connected vehicles, these new software tools analyze vehicle data to identify technical issues early and prevent downtime. Agents work alongside Ford’s nationwide dealer network to pre-order necessary spare parts and coordinate service appointments.
