Toyota offers up to 7,600 euros in discounts for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

Toyota has announced a new discount campaign for the German market. It applies to all electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids in the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup. The so-called E-Bonus for private customers ranges from 4,200 to 7,600 euros – and most importantly: it can be combined with the federal government’s electric vehicle subsidy.

Toyota is temporarily making its plug-in models cheaper in Germany. The discount varies by model, ranging from 4,200 euros for the Prius Plug-in Hybrid to 7,600 euros for the Toyota bZ4X Touring. According to the manufacturer, the E-Bonus can be used whether purchasing on lease, financing, or paying in cash. The following table provides an overview of the discount amounts for each model:

According to Toyota, the E-Bonus is intended to create attractive conditions for switching to electric mobility. “Customers benefit during the campaign period from a guaranteed price advantage and a clear pricing basis. This reflects Toyota’s multi-path approach, which offers customers various propulsion technologies based on their individual needs.”

Important: The amounts mentioned apply to the base versions of each model. As the equipment level increases, the electric bonus further rises. Depending on the model and specifications, electric bonus amounts of up to 8,100 euros are possible, according to the source.

Those who apply for and receive government subsidies can combine both: the federal subsidy of up to 6,000 euros for battery electric vehicles and 4,500 euros for plug-in hybrids — along with Toyota’s electric bonus. As is well known, government subsidies are subject to specific requirements, particularly household income and the number of children in the applicant’s household.

In the fine print, Toyota also hides two important notes: First, the offer is only valid for private customers. Second, it applies only if the lease/financing contract is purchased or applied for and approved by September 30, 2026. Thus, the promotion period is currently set for just over one and a half months.
