Toyota C-HR Hybrid: To celebrate its 10th anniversary, it goes matte gray

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the C-HR, Toyota is introducing a special edition. It features an unprecedented matte gray color, 20-inch wheels, and enhanced amenities. Available in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, this edition starts at 47,450 €.
The Toyota C-HR is already 10 years old. Launched in 2016, this compact SUV quickly became one of the most recognizable models in the Japanese automaker’s lineup, thanks in part to its much more bold style compared to Toyota vehicles of that era. A decade later, the brand is celebrating this milestone with a new variant called the GR Sport Mat Edition. So, what’s different?
A matte gray color exclusive to the GR Sport trim
The main new feature is obvious at first glance. The C-HR adopts a matte gray color. This new shade comes with a two-tone design featuring a black roof and rear section. It is available exclusively on this GR Sport version.

Toyota also takes the opportunity to update the wheel design. Models equipped with the 2.0-liter AWD-i hybrid engine and the 225-horsepower plug-in hybrid receive new 20-inch wheels. The 140-horsepower hybrid C-HR remains fitted with 19-inch wheels. The goal is to enhance the model’s sporty appearance.
As usual, these changes are purely aesthetic. Toyota does not mention any mechanical modifications or specific chassis adjustments for this edition.
Enhanced Equipment Package
The C-HR GR Sport Mat Edition comes equipped with several features typically found in the Techno+ Package. These include a 360-degree camera, semi-autonomous parking, a digital interior mirror, and various driving assistance systems. A fixed, non-thermal panoramic roof is also standard equipment.
This generous suite of features contributes to higher prices. The starting price is 47,450 € for the 140 hp hybrid version. The AWD-i hybrid version costs 51,750 €, while the 225 hp rechargeable hybrid C-HR retails at 52,400 €.
Over 147,000 C-HRs Sold in France
The C-HR is a vehicle that appeals to French people. Since its launch, over 147,000 units have been sold in our country. In the first seven months of 2026, Toyota reported 10,297 registrations, compared to 8,542 during the same period a year earlier. In fact, the GR Sport trim accounts for 14% of the model’s sales in France.
First deliveries are expected by the end of the year.
