Tesla has opened a Supercharger in Bytom, featuring 8 250 kW charging stations located near M1, accessible to vehicles with CCS.
Tesla has opened a new Supercharger station in Bytom at the parking lot of the M1 shopping center on Strzelców Bytomskich Street. It features 8 charging points with a capacity of up to 250 kW, making it a classic hub for fast charging while on the road or during shopping trips. The good news is that this location isn’t reserved only for Teslas, as other electric vehicles with CCS connectors can also use it.
Bytom is now the 28th Supercharger location in Poland and the fourth in Silesian Voivodeship. There is already one more station in Gliwice and two in Katowice in the region. The location itself wasn’t chosen by chance, as M1 is situated on Strzelców Bytomskich Street, which is part of DK11, a road leading toward Tarnowskie Góry, Poznań, and Kołobrzeg among other places.
For drivers outside Tesla’s ecosystem, one detail is crucial: the station has been opened to cars compatible with CCS. This means that another Tesla location in Poland expands real-world charging options along routes, rather than just increasing the number of chargers for a single brand. Of course, much still depends on current prices and demand, but the availability alone is a plus.

Bytom adds fast DC chargers, having previously expanded AC options
The new Supercharger is the most significant development, but there is also growth in the local EV market behind the scenes. According to data from the Bytom Transport Department, a total of 292 electric vehicles have been registered since 2022. The breakdown is as follows: 30 cars in 2022, 36 in 2023, 49 in 2024, and 98 in 2025.
2026 looks even more interesting. In the first seven months alone, 79 electric vehicles have been registered, which is more than the total number from 2022–2023 combined. It’s not yet Warsaw or Kraków, but the trend is clear.
The increase in the number of cars was accompanied by improvements to urban infrastructure. In 2024, as part of a plan to build publicly accessible charging stations in Bytom municipality, Tauron Nowe Technologie installed 27 new AC stations with a capacity of 22 kW. As a result, the city now has 33 charging stations and 72 charging points in total. However, AC and Supercharger represent two different worlds—one is designed for parking, while the other is meant for rapid energy replenishment.
Bytom has thus received more than just another point on Tesla’s map. It now has a strong advantage for drivers who want to charge quickly rather than leaving their cars parked for several hours.
