Tesla is deploying over 100 Tesla Megacharger stations across Europe. With a power output of up to 1.2 MW per outlet, Poland is not included for now.

During the official launch of the Tesla Semi at the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition in Hanover, Germany, Tesla unveiled a preliminary map of Megacharger stations—facilities equipped with MCS charging ports and designed for truck charging (wider and longer bays) with a capacity of up to 1.2 MW per station. Dozens of such locations are planned, with over 100 charging points available to drivers.

Let’s start with the map that appeared during Dan Priestley’s presentation from Tesla. The presentation wasn’t streamed live, but some helpful people recorded it – we’ve placed the video at the end of the article. The map shows 21 locations on the European continent and the Isles, along the key road transport routes of the Old Continent. We also learn that there will be over 100 charging stations, which aligns well with the number of locations (since 1 location equals several chargers/stations):

A much more accurate version of this map was obtained by Jaan, the creator of the website EVwire.com. It shows that Tesla plans to install Megachargers near Gruenheide, near Leipzig, Frankfurt, Cologne, roughly halfway between ports on the North Sea and Gruenheide (Germany), as well as in France, the United Kingdom, and one each in Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Tesla’s Megacharger network will complement charging stations being built as part of other EU projects and those being developed in Poland as well.

Tesla builds its charging stations in a clever way by preparing concrete “prefab units”: long slats onto which transformer stations and two Megachargers are mounted (illustration below). These are lowered into pre-made slots at the intended locations. Workers don’t have to worry about foundations for each device separately; they simply attach the “slats” and connect electricity. According to Tesla, this reduces the time required to set up a new station by 2-3 times, and if the power connection is available, the location can be ready in just a few days.
