The Tesla Model 3 RWD has a WLTP range of 572 km. The profit is lower than what Tesla’s announcement suggests.
Tesla has increased the range of the Model 3 RWD in its European configurator to 572 km WLTP. The company attributes this change to new tires and Prismata wheels, but in practice, the comparison with previous offerings isn’t as impressive as it sounds on X.

In Poland, the base Tesla Model 3 RWD still starts at 174,990 zł, and the Tesla Bonus discount of 18,750 zł is now linked to returning an old car as part of the deal.
572 km WLTP, but it wasn’t just 520 km before either
The most notable figure is the increase from 534 km to 572 km WLTP, a rise of 38 km or about 7.1 percent. This is how Tesla Europe presents it for LHD markets in Europe. The issue is that Polish customers have long seen other figures depending on the wheel configuration.
The previous 520 km WLTP figure applied to the Nova version with 19-inch wheels. In contrast, the model with 18-inch Aero wheels had an estimated range of 554 km WLTP, though Tesla did not emphasize this figure as much. So if we compare the new 572 km to those 554 km, the increase is only about 3.2 percent.
And this sounds much more realistic for a change in just the tires and wheel aerodynamics.
Tesla states that it’s due to new tires. Technically true, but not entirely. The 18-inch Prismata wheels were also added, meaning the entire wheel-tire package, rather than some magical tire that suddenly added nearly 40 km of range out of nowhere.
Prismata and Giti instead of battery revolution
According to an analysis prepared by elektrowoz.pl, the change is attributed to the Giti GitiControl P10 tires. This is a summer model from an Asian manufacturer that Tesla has been using for some time in vehicles from Giga Shanghai.
The tire itself doesn’t appear to be some technological marvel that defies physics. In available tests, it performs reasonably well on wet roads and is praised for its low rolling resistance, but it isn’t the best in every category. In some comparisons, it falls behind even Continental in terms of rolling resistance, and users sometimes complain about noise at higher speeds and faster wear.
In short, the 572 km WLTP figure may be accurate on paper, but it doesn’t mean a new battery or a breakthrough in propulsion. A better description would be refined detailing that Tesla has finally decided to emphasize heavily.
Available information also indicates that the Model 3 RWD still uses the LFP CATL battery pack with a capacity of about 64 kWh gross and around 61 kWh net. Tesla obviously doesn’t list this officially in the configurator, but with such an increase in range, it’s hard to say there’s been a significant change under the hood.
What does this mean in practice and how much does it cost in Poland?
According to editorial calculations, 572 km WLTP translates roughly to about 489 km at 90 km/h, 343 km at 120 km/h, and 263 km at 140 km/h. As usual, WLTP figures are one thing, but real-world conditions on the highway are another.
For Polish customers, two things are most important. First, they get slightly better theoretical range for the same price. Second, the promotion isn’t as straightforward as before, since Tesla Bonus of 18,750 zł requires returning the car at the end of the deal. However, the offer description states that the car doesn’t need to be in working condition—it only needs to be registered under the owner’s name.
The base model’s price remains at 174,990 zł, and after the discount it drops to 156,240 zł. There are no fancy features standard: three paint colors, black interior trim, and audio with 7 speakers.
The most honest way to put it is this: Tesla improved the base Model 3, but more in terms of spreadsheet skills than in battery chemistry. How would you evaluate such an increase in range from new wheels and tires — as an honest upgrade or a clever data presentation?
