Tesla is creating Hot Wheels for adults. Roadster owners will get to try out acrobatics.

Tesla is preparing a track with a loop for Roadster owners. Musk compared it to Hot Wheels and promised that the car can perform the shown stunts even without a driver.
A Track Like from a Child’s Room
The new Roadster stayed upside down on a ramp during its debut and jumped over parked Teslas. Elon Musk now promised in a post on X a special track at the car company’s Texas headquarters, where owners can test the car’s capabilities.
The main feature is supposed to be a full loop, meaning a curve that allows the car to drive upside down. Additional obstacles will complete the track to test the Roadster’s abilities. Musk described it as even crazier than Hot Wheels tracks.
Tesla has not yet revealed the specific design of the facility or the opening date. It is also unclear who will have access to the track and under what conditions. Therefore, it cannot be concluded from the announcement that it will be an attraction open to the public.
Fans and nozzles enable acrobatics
During the Roadster’s debut, it drove onto a curved ramp and continued upside down. A system of fans creating negative pressure under the car helped it. At the end of the ramp, the vehicle used nozzles to flip over and land on its wheels.
Another demonstration included jumping over a row of parked vehicles, including a Semi truck. The Roadster utilized compressed gas nozzles developed in collaboration with SpaceX. Tesla’s full flight system is comparable to the top-tier version of Rocket.
The equipment in each variant will be crucial for performing acrobatics. The Performance version is expected to offer active aerodynamics and a negative pressure system, while the Thrust version will include acceleration nozzles. Tesla has not yet specified which versions it will use on the planned track.
The Roadster is designed to handle these tricks automatically
According to Musk, owners will be able to have the demonstrated tricks performed automatically. Driverless maneuvers were also shown during the debut. However, the automaker has not yet described how this feature will work in consumer cars or what it will allow.
Musk also hinted at other possible demonstrations, such as flying over the Snake River Canyon or the Grand Canyon. But he did not release a specific schedule for such attempts. For now, these are just his ideas about what the Roadster could showcase in the future.
Tesla plans to start producing the new Roadster in 2028. So, interested parties will still have to wait for both the cars and the acrobatic track. Additionally, reservation terms do not guarantee a delivery date or that the customer will actually receive the vehicle.
