This electric motorcycle has a hole in the middle. The NOVUS One also impresses with its acceleration.

The NOVUS One electric motorcycle stands out with its open carbon frame and a top speed of up to 130 km/h. Early customers are already receiving it, though the price is not low.
The carbon frame draws attention
The German-made NOVUS One is one of those motorcycles that won’t be confused with mass-produced models. Its self-supporting frame made of carbon fibers surrounds a large open space. It is precisely this open center that gives the electric bike its unmistakable silhouette.
The design was created by the company’s founder, René Renger, who previously worked on vehicle designs for Volkswagen, including the Golf and ID. Buzz. The motorcycle’s development and final assembly take place in Germany, with most of the components coming from Europe.
According to the company, the NOVUS One has already entered mass production, with the first European deliveries starting this year. The company has now received an investment in the tens of millions of dollars, which is intended to support further growth in Europe and entry into the U.S. market by 2027.
Reaching city speeds in less than two seconds
The motorcycle weighs 121 kilograms, with the electric motor located directly in the wheel hub. In its highest performance mode, it delivers 25 kW of power and a claimed torque of 430 Nm. According to the manufacturer, it can accelerate from a standstill to 50 km/h in less than two seconds.
The 6.2 kWh battery is designed to provide a range of up to 150 kilometers at lower city speeds. The fastest version can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes 90 minutes, per the published specifications.
The standard equipment includes three riding modes, phone connectivity, keyless operation, and remote updates. With its clutchless and gearless drive system, NOVUS aims to attract people who have not considered riding a traditional motorcycle before.
Two versions, high price, and a cheaper successor
The same technical foundation allows for two performance configurations to be offered. The L3e version reaches a speed of 130 km/h, while the L1e variant is limited to 45 km/h. As such, it falls into the moped category and targets a different group of consumers.
Price can be a significant obstacle when purchasing it. The Founders Edition starts at 21,300 euros before taxes, which is approximately 518,000 crowns. After adding taxes, the final amount will be even higher, making the One an expensive urban motorcycle.
The upcoming NOVUS Two is intended to appeal to a broader audience, with the company promising a significantly lower entry price. It plans to begin production by the end of 2027. It is this more affordable model that could help the brand gain more customers.
