Stellantis markets recycled high-voltage batteries

SUSTAINera, Stellantis’ circular economy division, is expanding its range of recycled parts for electric and hybrid vehicles. Recycled high-voltage batteries are now available for most BEV and PHEV models from Stellantis brands.

SUSTAINera has made it its mission to develop solutions within the 4R strategy – Remanufacturing, Repair, Reuse, Recycle – that extend product lifespans, prevent waste, conserve resources, and reduce CO2 emissions. This includes disassembling and remanufacturing vehicle components so they can be used as spare parts in other cars.

SUSTAINera is now expanding its range of recycled parts for internal combustion engine vehicles to include electric and hybrid vehicles. This includes high-voltage batteries, electrically driven compressors, and electrified dual-clutch transmissions for mild hybrids. All of these parts are refurbished to OEM specifications, offering the same performance characteristics and warranty terms as original MOPAR parts. Recycled replacement parts help protect the environment by saving up to 80 percent in raw materials and up to 40 percent in CO2 emissions compared to new parts, thereby supporting resource-efficient mobility. Incidentally, SUSTAINera has previously supplied recycled electric vehicle batteries for stationary energy storage systems, such as those at Rome Airport.

Stellantis will showcase its recycled products next week at the Automechanika trade show in Frankfurt (September 8–12) in Hall 9.0, booth F84-E84. The exhibition space is designed as a live workshop environment that allows visitors to experience Stellantis’ 360° aftermarket approach in a practical setting. In a dedicated exhibition area, SUSTAINera aims to demonstrate how circular economy solutions can assist workshops, aftermarket professionals, dealers, and customers.
