The next edition of the Paris Motor Show, scheduled to take place from October 12 to 18, is set to be a key venue for understanding the direction of Europe’s automotive industry. Stellantis has announced an unprecedented presence at this French event, allocating the largest exhibition space in the venue to showcase its vision for electrified mobility.

This extensive involvement is part of a strategy aimed at strengthening the group’s role in the energy transition. Rather than limiting its participation to a mere commercial display, the automotive conglomerate will use this Paris event as a platform to introduce innovations across various segments, from affordable urban solutions to cutting-edge prototypes.

A multinational showcase at the heart of Europe

Stellantis’ presence at the Paris Motor Show stands out due to the geographical and conceptual breadth of its brands. The conglomerate has confirmed the participation of established brands such as Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, and Alfa Romeo, alongside international offerings like Jeep and the newly integrated Leapmotor. This diversity of brands reflects the group’s ability to approach electrification from various technological and commercial perspectives.

The company’s booth will be the largest in the exhibition, covering over 5,000 square meters in total. This strategic move is designed to showcase its production capabilities and leadership in the European market. Through this space, the corporation aims to demonstrate how its modular platforms, engineered to accommodate both hybrid and 100% electric systems, enable efficient scaling of production to meet the varying adoption rates of clean mobility across the continent.

Nine prototypes to showcase the future

A key focus of Stellantis’ proposal in Paris will be the global debut of 9 concept cars from 8 different brands. These display vehicles serve not only as design exercises but also preview the solutions that will be incorporated into production models in the second half of this decade.

Among these prototypes, the group will showcase significant advancements in solid-state battery integration, vehicle-defined software architectures, and highly efficient propulsion systems. The simultaneous unveiling of so many conceptual proposals allows the consortium to set standards in areas such as aerodynamics, interior comfort, and thermal management—factors crucial for optimizing range in zero-emission vehicles.

Hybrid and electric offensive for all segments

Beyond the futuristic vision represented by the prototypes, the commercial version of the booth will be dominated by a fleet of dozens of production models. The group’s strategy includes coexisting 100% electric solutions with light hybrid and plug-in hybrid alternatives, ensuring a gradual transition tailored to the needs of each user group.

The brands in the group will use this event to unveil world premieres. Peugeot will push forward with expanding its electric lineup based on the STLA Medium platform, while Citroën will focus on making electric vehicles more accessible through affordable urban models. Alfa Romeo and DS Automobiles, on the other hand, will demonstrate how electrification fits into the premium segment by combining high performance with maximum energy efficiency.

Peugeot is currently developing the new E-208 using the STLA-Small platform.

On its part, Leapmotor’s presence in Stellantis’ ecosystem marks the beginning of a new phase in distributing electric vehicles developed alongside its Chinese partner. This collaboration aims to accelerate the introduction to Europe of high-density battery technology and advanced driver assistance systems at optimized manufacturing costs.

The strategic significance of the Paris exhibition

Stellantis’ decision to make such a significant presence at the Paris Motor Show underscores the continued importance of traditional trade shows in communicating major technological advancements. Amid economic uncertainty and regulatory changes in Europe, the group seeks to convey a message of industrial strength and technical competence.

The October event will serve to assess the actual status of vehicle electrification on the continent. With a lineup ranging from small utilities to large SUVs and commercial vehicles, Stellantis’ booth will act as an accurate indicator of how hybrid and electric technologies are preparing to reach maturity in the mass market.
