Source adds UK ultra-rapid charging hubs to GreenFlux roaming network

Source, the joint venture between SSE and TotalEnergies, has signed a roaming agreement to connect its charging network to GreenFlux's European platform. This will give users of more than 100 e-mobility service providers access to Source's rapid charging hubs across the UK.

Founded in the Netherlands in 2011, GreenFlux provides EV charging software and roaming services for charge point operators and e-mobility service providers across Europe. Acquired by DKV Mobility in 2021, the company aggregates the networks of more than 540 charge point operators across a roaming network of more than 1.2 million charge points. Its platform handles the technical connections, agreements and payment processing to allow drivers to access these networks through their existing apps or charging cards. Today, the platform represents around over 20 million charging tokens.

Since 2024, GreenFlux has been expanding its roaming coverage into the UK through partnerships with operators like Clenergy EV, Kerb, and Osprey – and now, Source is joining the roster. The agreement means that drivers using participating charging apps and cards from within the GreenFlux network can use Source charging hubs without the need for a separate account.

The SSE x TotalEnergies joint venture aims to install a total of up to 3000 ultra-rapid charging points across 300 hubs in the UK and Ireland over the next five years. Its sites features chargers rated at 150 kW or more and typically include a minimum of 10 charging bays. The company claims drivers can typically charge their vehicles in around 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle and charging conditions.

Freerik Meeuwes, Director Sales & Operations at GreenFlux, commented: “Linking up with Source is an important step for us to further grow our network in an important and fast-growing EV charging market like the UK. Source has a strong and ambitious strategy that guarantees fast charging will only become more accessible to EV drivers in the coming years.”

Alice Aprile-Smith, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Source, added: “Every network we connect to is a chance for more drivers to discover Source for the first time. Being part of GreenFlux’s roaming network makes it easier for their drivers to find us here in the UK. Once they do, we want the experience to speak for itself – fast, reliable charging with real-time availability, in hubs that are easy to use from the very first visit.”

The deal follows an earlier roaming agreement between Source and OVO Energy. In August 2025, Ovo Charge customers gained access to Source’s charging hubs using the OVO app of charging card – including for fleet use. However, the GreenFlux agreement extends access to customers of a much broader range of service providers in Europe.
