Skoda is expanding the Kodiaq lineup with the new top-tier Laurin & Klement (L&K) version and a more powerful plug-in hybrid drive. This new powertrain delivers a system output of 200 kW (272 hp), surpassing the previous version by 50 kW (68 hp). Orders for the Kodiaq Laurin & Klement are expected to begin in Germany during the fall. The Kodiaq RS with the upgraded plug-in hybrid drive is already available for ordering at 62,800 euros.

The Laurin & Klement trim level is available with various powertrain options and includes features such as seats with massage function. Externally, it is distinguished by a silver roof rail, bumpers and side skirts painted in the vehicle’s color, as well as exclusive lightweight alloy wheels. Interior and exterior “Laurin & Klement” emblems further identify this new trim variant.

The new plug-in hybrid combines a 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 130 kW (177 hp) with an electric motor delivering 85 kW (115 hp). The increased performance compared to the previous 150-kW version stems from improvements to the combustion engine and an updated software for the powertrain control unit. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 215 km/h. The towing capacity is up to 1800 kilograms.

The drive battery of the part-electric Kodiaq has a gross capacity of 25.7 kWh, of which 19.7 kWh is net capacity, and it supports DC fast charging at up to 50 kW. The all-electric range is up to 109 kilometers.

The second generation of the Kodiaq was introduced at the end of 2023 and has been mass-produced in Kvasiny since mid-January 2024. It introduced a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the Škoda model lineup for the first time, with the Kodiaq iV achieving a system power of 150 kW (204 hp). Its all-electric range is always over 100 kilometers.
