Skoda is expanding its lineup of its all-electric urban SUV Epiq in Germany with three additional model variants. The new entry-level version, the Easy 35, is now available for ordering at prices starting at 25,900 euros, lowering the previous price threshold by 2,000 euros. Meanwhile, the two Sportline versions, Epiq 40 and Epiq 55, are being added to the model range, with starting prices of 36,000 euros and 40,200 euros respectively.

The Epiq Easy 35 combines an 85 kW (115 HP) electric motor with 267 Nm of torque and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery (LFP). It has a gross capacity of 38.5 kWh, of which 37 kWh are usable. According to the manufacturer, the WLTP range is up to 325 kilometers with a combined power consumption of 13.7 kWh per 100 kilometers. The top speed is 160 km/h, and the maximum DC charging capacity is 50 kW. It takes approximately 33 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% charge.

The standard equipment of the Easy 35 includes LED headlamps, a two-zone automatic climate control system, and a 13-inch infotainment display. It also features a front radar assistant, a lane-keeping assistant, as well as lane-change, parking, and intersection assistance systems. Compared to the previously cheapest trim level, Essence, the customization options are limited: additional packages and a heat pump are not available for the Easy 35. The already available Epiq Essence 40 offers a more powerful engine with 99 kW (135 hp) for an extra 2000 euros, along with a shorter DC charging time at the same battery capacity.

With the Sportline trim line, Škoda adds two more fully equipped variants to the model series. Externally, they are distinguished by black design elements, standard 19-inch alloy wheels, and an optional black roof; 20-inch wheels are also available at an additional cost. Standard features include Matrix LED headlights, LED taillights, a illuminated front end, electrically adjustable sports seats with microfiber upholstery, and a heated sports steering wheel with paddle shifters. The Comfort, Light & Sight, and Travel packages, which include a navigation system, are also available. Optionally, Škoda offers a 360-degree camera, a Canton sound system, and an additional 25-liter storage space under the hood.

Technically, the two Sportline models differ primarily in terms of their power output and battery capacity. The Epiq Sportline 40 delivers 99 kW (135 hp), uses a 38.5-kWh LFP battery pack, and achieves a range of up to 323 kilometers according to the manufacturer. Škoda states that it takes 23 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent. The Epiq Sportline 55, on the other hand, has an electric motor with 155 kW (211 hp) of power and a Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt battery (NMC) with a gross capacity of 55 kWh and a net capacity of 52 kWh. Its range is up to 435 kilometers, with a charging time of 24 minutes to reach 80 percent charge.

The Epiq, which is approximately 4.17 meters long, is based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform and features front-wheel drive. With a trunk volume of 475 liters that increases to 1,345 liters when the rear seats are folded down, this model combines compact exterior dimensions with a relatively large cargo space. The new Easy 35 is the most affordable fully electric model in Škoda’s lineup in Germany. The price ranges from 25,900 euros for the base model to 40,200 euros for the Sportline 55, a difference of 14,300 euros, with the various trims differing mainly in terms of power output, battery capacity, fast charging capability, and standard equipment.
