In mid-September, Škoda made the Epiq 40 available for ordering at 27,900 euros. At that time, the manufacturer also announced an entry-level model priced at 25,900 euros, which was set to be available for order in October under the name Epiq Essence 35. Mid-October saw the introduction of the Sportline trim line, though prices were not yet available. Now both models are available for order. Škoda cites growing family needs across both ends of its model range: the entry-level Easy 35 at the bottom and the Sportline versions at the top.
Easy 35: Powertrain, Battery, and Range
The Epiq Easy 35 uses a power battery with a gross capacity of 38.5 kWh, of which 37 kWh is usable. The cells utilize lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry (LFP). This cell type contains no nickel or cobalt but has a lower energy density compared to nickel-based cells. As a result, the battery is the same size as that in the Epiq 40.
There are differences in performance: the electric motor delivers a maximum of 85 kW (115 HP) in the Easy 35 compared to 99 kW (135 HP) in the Epiq 40, though the torque remains the same at 267 Nm. The top speed is limited to 160 km/h. Like all Epiq versions, the Easy 35 has front-wheel drive. According to Škoda, the Easy 35 can travel up to 325 kilometers, with the manufacturer reporting a combined power consumption of 13.7 kWh per 100 kilometers.
The Easy 35 charges at up to 50 kW on direct current, taking around 33 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent charge. The Epiq charges at 11 kW on alternating current as standard.
Standard Equipment of the Entry-Level Model
The Epiq Easy 35 comes standard in Marble Grey paint. The Timiano Green and Jasper Red Metallic colors are available at an additional cost.
The Easy 35 comes standard with features such as LED headlamps, the Climatronic automatic climate control, and a 13-inch infotainment display for 25,900 euros. Among the assistance systems are a front radar assistant, a lane-keeping assistant, a lane-change and parking assistant with exit warning, as well as a cross-traffic assistant. It also includes a Bluetooth hands-free system and the Škoda Care Connect online service. The interior is styled in black and gray (Design Selection Studio). A heat pump is not available for the Easy 35; it costs an additional 950 euros for the Essence and Selection trims.

Sportline as the top version
According to Škoda, the Sportline models are the most equipped versions of the Epiq series. Externally, they feature black accents such as on the Škoda logo, roof rail, and mirror housings. The roof can be optionally painted black. As standard, the Sportline comes with black 19-inch alloy wheels, with 20-inch wheels available as an option. Both wheel designs, according to Škoda, are only available in this variant. Also standard are matrix LED headlights, LED taillights, and a illuminated light strip on the front, which is used for the first time in the Epiq series.
Inside, the Sportline is finished in black. Features include electrically adjustable sports seats with microfiber upholstery, a heated three-spoke sports steering wheel with toggle switches for adjusting regenerative braking, pedals with stainless steel-looking covers, ambient lighting, and a phone box that charges smartphones inductively at up to 15 W. The Comfort, Light & Sight, and Travel packages with a navigation system are also standard.
For an additional fee, the Premium package is available. It includes a 360-degree surround camera with a transparent 3D display of the vehicle’s body, a Canton sound system with ten speakers, a 25-liter frunk compartment under the hood, as well as functions for remote and assisted parking along with a reverse assist system.

According to Škoda, the range is up to 323 kilometers, with combined fuel consumption ranging from 14.3 to 14.7 kWh per 100 kilometers. Charging from 10% to 80% is said to take 23 minutes.
The Epiq Sportline 55 is available starting at 40,200 euros. It features a larger battery with nickel-manganese-cobalt chemistry (NMC), with a gross capacity of 55 kWh and a net capacity of 52 kWh.
