The IAA Transportation 2026 trade show is underway, and Tesla has announced a second presentation of the Tesla Roadster for Thursday, October 1.
Over the weekend, Tesla posted on X an announcement for a second presentation of the Tesla Roadster, the manufacturer’s compact car designed primarily for fun. Meanwhile, the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition is underway in Hanover, Germany, where the latest solutions for heavy or just large-scale transportation will be showcased. From our perspective, one of the most interesting launches is the official start of sales for the Ford Transit City, along with the debut of the Kia PV7, a large electric vehicle for large families.
The promotional graphics (WEB PAGE HERE) for the new Tesla Roadster show a blurred red light strip along with something rather unusual in the automotive sector: four high-pressure jets of gas. The red strip indicates that we are looking at the rear of the vehicle, while Mach diamonds tell us that the gas is being ejected at a speed exceeding the speed of sound in that medium. It should be noted that earlier announcements suggest this gas is simply highly compressed air:

Musk wouldn’t be Musk if he didn’t include some reference to science fiction in the image. This time, a hidden caption appeared beneath the nozzle exits reading “Where we’re going …”, referencing a line from the movie “Back to the Future”. The full quote is “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads”, as the vehicle powered by banana peels, leftover beer, and an aluminum can floats in the air. It’s worth noting that the nozzle exits on the Tesla Roadster are directed upward, which generates thrust and additional downward pressure:

Meanwhile, the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition has just started in Hanover, so we can expect a large amount of information in the coming days about tractor-trailers with even larger batteries or further hydrogen experiments. For us, the official public debut of the Ford Transit City (originally: Chinese JMC Touring) is interesting, with its price starting at 118,900 złoty net for a 56 (~54) kWh LFP battery, or 146,247 złoty (configuration tool HERE). As a large family, we are also eagerly awaiting the first official details regarding the Kia PV7, the sibling model to the Hyundai Staria Electric.
