Recharge, Tohmo customers get 12 months of free Electra subscription.

Recharge, Tohmo customers get 12 months of free Electra subscription.

The partnership between the two providers, Thomo and Electra, arrives in Italy following successful results in France. This offer is reserved for Thomo customers and allows them to save 20 cents per kWh on the Electra network, in addition to receiving discounted rates on certain partner networks.

Charging an electric car at home and saving money while traveling — this is the goal of the Thomo and Electra partnership. Building on the experience gained in France, they are now extending this promotion to the Italian market for customers with an active Thomo subscription. The offer includes 12 months free of Electra+ Smart, a plan that provides access to discounted rates on Electra’s ultra-fast charging network and on certain partner providers.

The initiative aims to integrate home charging with public charging, which is one of the key factors in making the daily use of electric cars simpler. Tohmo operates in the residential charging sector, while Electra develops a network of high-power charging stations for those who travel outside their homes.

20 cents off per kWh on the Electra network

The main advantage of this offer is a 0.20 euro discount per kWh charged on the Electra network, thanks to the Electra+ Smart subscription. The plan also includes preferential rates on the Ionity, Fastned, and Atlante partner networks.

The promotion is available only to those who have an active Tohmo subscription at the time of signing up. To take advantage of it, you need to activate the promo code, which grants 12 months of free service.

At the end of the promotional period, the Electra+ Smart subscription automatically renews at a cost of 4.99 euros per month, unless canceled through the Electra app. The subscription cost should not be confused with the top-up fees, which remain payable during the 12 months of free service.

The code is for one-time use only and cannot be transferred, with only one code available per customer.

Top-up in apartments and on public networks

The agreement between the two companies aims to meet two complementary needs: the ability to top up conveniently near one’s home and the availability of efficient infrastructure while on the go.

For those living in apartment buildings, having a home charging solution can reduce the need to use public charging stations in daily life. When traveling, however, the availability of a fast charging network and competitive rates becomes crucial, especially on long distances.

“Our customers expect a simple and comprehensive solution. Home charging offers obvious convenience, but when away from home or on the road, charging must be just as easy,” comments Diego Trabucchi, Managing Director of Tohmo.

The manager also emphasizes that extending the agreement to Italy, following the successes in France, is aimed at ensuring that drivers have access to an efficient network and competitive prices even away from home.

The goal: reducing costs and barriers to electric mobility

The actual savings for each driver will naturally depend on the frequency of use of the Electra network and its partners, the car’s energy consumption, and the rates applied to individual charges. A 20-cent discount per kWh may be attractive for those who use Electra stations frequently, while the automatic paid renewal requires attention once the promotional period ends.
