Renault equips the Scenic E-Tech Electric with new batteries and faster charging.

Renault is updating the Scenic E-Tech electric with new battery options, additional digital features, and improvements to comfort, design, and driver assistance. The electric vehicle retains a length of 4.47 meters and weighs less than 1,900 kilograms. Standard features include openR link, a Solarbay panoramic roof, bidirectional 11- and 22-kW chargers, as well as regenerative braking with steering wheel paddles and a one-pedal function.
With the 162 kW/220-horsepower engine, two new battery options are available. The 89-kWh NMC battery (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) offers up to 642 kilometers of WLTP range (previously a maximum of 614 km), a maximum DC charging speed of 150 kW, and can charge from 15% to 80% in 28 minutes. The 67-kWh LFP battery (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) provides up to 467 kilometers of range, a maximum charging speed of 165 kW, and takes 24 minutes to charge to 80%. In both cases, the DC fast charging time is reduced by 25 percent. The 89-kWh version is already available for ordering in France, while the 67-kWh version is expected to follow there in the fall of 2026.
The interior and exterior design of the Scenic E-Tech electric have also been updated. The Techo trim features new seat covers made from PET fabric with over 95 percent recycled yarn, as well as coated fabric containing at least 12 percent recycled content, while the Esprit Alpine version includes new trim pieces with at least 75 percent recycled material. Externally, seven body colors are available, including the new Satin Slate Blue and Exo Galaxy Grey shades, along with new 19- and 20-inch wheels.
Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Driver Assist, available on certain models, have been upgraded for more detailed analysis of the environment and traffic. The Multi-Target function can track multiple vehicles simultaneously, while Emergency Stop Assist brakes the electric vehicle to a stop if the driver fails to respond. Additionally, there is a predictive Eco-Driving function that offers recommendations to optimize energy consumption by up to six percent, along with a Smart mode that automatically switches between Eco, Comfort, and Sport settings. The standard driver monitoring system also uses an interior camera to detect fatigue and distraction, as well as to identify the driver and personalize various settings.
In the openR-link system with integrated Google, Google Maps receives additional options for route planning, including the selection of charging network, charging station capacity, and payment method. Google Gemini is available as an alternative to Google Assistant and enables operation via natural language. Customers also receive 2 GB of data per month for three years or until the end of a corresponding leasing contract, along with a Qi2 standard inductive charger.
The accessory options include a tray, a dual trunk floor, a foldable storage box, a coffee maker, and an organizer for the center console. An Aero Cargo Box mounted on the hitch increases the 545 liter trunk capacity by 310 liters. Additionally, an automotive seat and a pet safety leash are offered.
The Scenic E-Tech electric is developed and manufactured in Douai, France, where the battery is assembled using cells produced in Poland. The motor is made in Cléon in Normandy. In France, the Techno-Long-Range version with an 89-kWh battery is available for order starting at 46,990 euros. The Techno-Comfort version with a 67-kWh battery is expected to be available there in the fall of 2026 at a starting price of 39,990 euros. There is no yet set date for the launch of the facelift in Germany. The current Scenic E-Tech Electric costs here starting at 43,000 euros.
