Renault Scenic E-Tech with lift. Slightly longer range with a 91 (87) kWh battery, new LFP pack at 69 (67) kWh, cells from Poland

Renault announced it is updating its C-segment electric vehicle (4.47 meters long), the Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric. The version with a 91 (87) kWh battery will now achieve 642 WLTP units (+2.7%) per charge, while instead of the ~63 (60) kWh package, a slightly larger ~69 (67) kWh battery using LFP cells will be available. The range increase in this case will be quite noticeable, at 9.6 percent, rising from 426 to 467 WLTP units.

The claimed WLTP ranges of 642 and 467 units correspond to 549 or 399 kilometers in urban or urban-suburban driving conditions, 385 or 280 kilometers at 120 km/h, and 295 or 215 kilometers at 140 km/h with the battery drained to zero. Most importantly, the larger battery allows charging from 15% to 80% in 28 minutes (maximum: 150 kW), while the smaller LFP battery charges from 15% to 80% in 24 minutes (maximum: 165 kW). For a C-segment model, these times are fairly typical; it’s also necessary to account for an additional few minutes if charging starts from 10%.
The manufacturer doesn’t mention any change to the powertrain, so we can assume that the LFP battery pack works with a 125 kW/170 HP engine, while the larger Li-NCM battery powers a 160 kW/218 HP engine. However, this is just an initial assumption—LFP cells are heavier than Li-NCM, so the power of the version with the smaller battery pack might also have been slightly increased.

Renault claims that its Android Automotive-based software already includes an artificial intelligence assistant, Google Gemini. New cars come with a free 2 GB data package that renews on a monthly basis. This is sufficient for normal use—such as the assistant, navigation, and even voice calls—but if you use multimedia intensively, it’s advisable to upgrade the data package or connect the car to a phone acting as a hotspot.

Unlike the first version, the Renault Scenic E-Tech MY27 already supports one-pedal driving out of the box (accelerating and braking using only the accelerator pedal until stopping), and it can also automatically select a driving mode suited to current conditions and the driver’s needs (Smart mode). At purchase, we can choose an AC-DC onboard charger with 22 kW capacity as well as an inductive phone charger.
The Techno version features new seats — hopefully allowing adjustment of the seat angle so it doesn’t feel like sitting on a bench in a gym. Adaptive Cruise Control is standard, while Active Driver Assist is an optional feature.

Li-ion Cells from Poland
An important detail for Polish buyers is that the car is manufactured in the European Union, more specifically in France. The LFP battery uses a cell-to-pack design, meaning there are no additional module enclosures. The Li-ion cells used in the vehicle come from Poland, likely from LG Energy Solution’s facility. The prices of the Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric (2027) in Poland are not yet known, but they are likely to remain at a similar level. Currently, the Long Range version costs between 209,900 złoty for the Techno variant and 229,900 złoty for the Iconic version.
Editor’s note from Elektrowozu: Renault has recently specialized in stunning press photos with colored backdrops and colorful lighting on the paint. That’s why we’re including a photo taken under normal lighting at the beginning, as colors truly enhance the car’s appeal.
