Renault 5 E-Tech: 1,710 euros cheaper, starting at 26,290 euros
Renault has reduced the prices of the Renault 5 E-Tech across all trims by 1,710 euros, with the starting price now at 26,290 euros. At the same time, there are more standard features, and starting in the fourth quarter, new colors, wheels, and decorations will be available.

Renault 5 E-Tech: Prices drop by 1,710 euros, more standard features
Renault is lowering the prices of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric model for the new model year. All trims are now 1,710 euros cheaper, while the manufacturer is also expanding the standard equipment in several versions. As a result, the entry-level model will cost 26,290 euros going forward. According to the manufacturer, 4,500 units of this compact car were registered in the first half of 2026, making it the most registered battery-electric compact car in Germany.
Powertrain, Battery, and Range
The new price list starts with the Evolution 120 Urban Range version. It features an electric motor with 90 kW (122 hp) and a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh. This configuration serves as the basis for the series and is designed for urban and suburban use.
The next tier is the Comfort Range battery version with 52 kWh, which offers a range of up to 417 kilometers. Even after the price cut, it remains below the 30,000 euro mark: combined with the Evolution trim level, it now costs 29,290 euros. Renault reports a combined power consumption of 14.4 kWh per 100 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, this price reduction applies to all trim levels and thus to the entire model range.
New features starting with the Techno trim level
In addition to the lower price, Renault is expanding the standard equipment. Starting with the Techno trim level, an upgraded inductive charging pad for smartphones is included. It features ventilation and uses magnetic ring technology, allowing the device to charge quickly without overheating according to the manufacturer. This ventilation solution addresses a known issue with inductive charging pads, where performance often decreases as temperature rises.
The MULTI-SENSE driving mode system is also standard from the Techno level, with an additional Smart Mode added. This mode automatically switches between the existing Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes based on driving style, eliminating the need for the driver to switch manually.

Aid systems in Iconic Five and Roland Garros
In the two highest trim levels, Iconic Five and Roland Garros, several safety systems that were previously optional are now included as standard. These include the blind spot warning system, which alerts drivers when changing lanes in areas where vehicles cannot be seen. The exit assist warns of bicycles and other vehicles approaching from behind when the doors are opened. The rear cross-traffic warning detects drivers approaching from the left or right while reversing.
In addition, there is Active Driver Assist with emergency stop assistance. This system combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering, thus taking over both longitudinal and lateral steering. If the driver shows no response and the vehicle detects no hands on the steering wheel, the emergency stop assist will brake until the vehicle comes to a stop.
New Colors, Wheels, and Decorations Starting in the Fourth Quarter
Starting in the fourth quarter, Renault will expand the customization options for this model. The color palette will be expanded with DeZir Red and Dolomit Gray finishes. Among the wheel options, 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels in the Techno design with a gold tone will be available.
In addition, the manufacturer offers four new roof and door decals. They are available in the Hyper5 and Vibrant5 styles as well as in black, red, and gold colors. While the price adjustment and enhanced features take effect with the new model year, the additional customization options will become available only toward the end of the year.
