OurEauto 2026 Program: 1.2 billion zł paid out, 500 contracts pending

In short:

Over 39,000 contracts were signed with beneficiaries for a total amount of nearly 1.25 billion zł.

Nearly 1.2 billion zł in support was disbursed to over 38,000 beneficiaries.

On October 1, 2026, the program’s budget was increased by over 82 million zł, from 1.18 billion zł to 1.26 billion zł.

For about 500 contracts, the required security documents have not been submitted, without which NFOŚiGW cannot disburse the funds.

Those waiting for a contract or payment should check their email and the status of their application in the Grant Application Generator (GWD).

The NaszEauto program is entering its final phase.

According to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), over 39,000 contracts have been signed for a total value of nearly 1.25 billion zł, and more than 38,000 beneficiaries have already received a combined amount of almost 1.2 billion zł. The budget has been increased to 1.26 billion zł. This ensures there are sufficient funds for all applications that received positive evaluations, including those submitted conditionally after the initial fund was exhausted.

What is the NaszEauto program and who could benefit from it

Naszeauto is a government program offering subsidies for new electric vehicles. NFOŚiGW launched it on February 3, 2025. The funds come from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Resilience (KPO), which is the EU’s fund for rebuilding economies after the pandemic. The support covered the purchase, leasing, and long-term rental of new, zero-emission electric vehicles in categories M1, M2, and N1. In practice, this refers to passenger cars, small buses, and light commercial vehicles. Individuals, among others, were eligible to benefit from these subsidies.

On the program’s website, NFOŚiGW states that the allocation for non-reimbursable funding amounts to 1,264,035,950 zł from KPO funds. Online, some sources mention a budget exceeding 1.6 billion zł, but these figures are outdated. The authoritative information comes from the official website naszeauto.gov.pl and announcements from the fund.

Budget exhausted in January, applications being accepted conditionally

The interest in subsidies turned out to be very high. The initial budget of 1.18 billion zł was exhausted on January 27, 2026, more than three months before the planned end of the application period. However, NFOŚiGW did not close the program. From January 27 until the end of the application period on April 30, 2026, applications were accepted on a conditional basis.

The conditional approach meant that submitting an application did not guarantee funding. Signing a contract and receiving the subsidy depended on whether additional funds would become available. For drivers who purchased or leased electric vehicles during this period, this represented considerable uncertainty.

Budget increased by over 82 million zł

The decision came in the fall. According to NFOŚiGW, as of September 10, 2026, all applications submitted in the call were already under verification. On October 1, 2026, the fund increased the program’s budget by over 82 million zł, raising it from 1.18 billion zł to 1.26 billion zł. As NFOŚiGW emphasizes, this change ensured funding for all applications that were positively assessed and met the program’s requirements, including conditional applications.

The figures show that the NaszEauto program is nearing completion. The contracts total nearly 1.25 billion zł, with a budget of 1.26 billion zł. Nearly 1.2 billion zł has already been paid out, so little remains to be transferred.

Contract security – condition for disbursing subsidies

The most important information concerns several hundred individuals. According to NFOŚiGW, for about 500 contracts, beneficiaries failed to submit documents related to security. Without them, the fund cannot disburse the funds.

The problem mainly affects those who chose the following as security:

blank bill of exchange – a document signed without an amount specified, which the institution can fill in if the beneficiary fails to fulfill the agreement,

transfer of rights from an AC policy – transferring to NFOŚiGW the right to compensation from the car insurance, for example in case of theft or total destruction of the car.

In recent weeks, NFOŚiGW has sent emails to this group proposing to change the security to a guarantee payment. According to the fund, this is a simpler solution in terms of procedures and does not affect the amount of subsidy. The beneficiary does not need to deposit any money into NFOŚiGW’s account. The guarantee payment applies only in situations specified in the agreement.

How to check the status of an application in the NaszEauto program

Those still waiting for the contract to be signed or the payment should first:

check the email address provided in the application, including the spam folder,

log in to the Grant Application Generator (GWD), the system used to submit applications, and check the case status,

look for a request to submit additional documents or information about changes to the contract guarantee.

NFOŚiGW reminds that funds from the NaszEauto program can only be disbursed after all formal requirements are met, including the proper establishment of a contract guarantee. Promptly sending documents accelerates the resolution of the case. Current updates are published on the naszeauto.gov.pl website.

Why does this matter for the electrician industry?

Over 39,000 contracts under the program, which was in operation for just over a year, represent a significant achievement for Poland’s electric vehicle market. Subsidies from KPO helped some drivers reduce the price gap between electric vehicles and gasoline cars. However, the budget ran out sooner than expected, and an increase in funding was only provided months after applications closed.

For those who submitted conditional applications, this is good news: the funds are secured. What remains is to complete the formalities, as in practice, it is often the missing promissory note or unpaid transfer of the insurance policy, rather than a lack of funds, that can delay disbursement today.

Program NaszEauto nearing completion – applications

The NaszEauto program concluded without the drama many applicants feared after the budget was exhausted in January 2026. An additional 82 million zł allowed support to be provided to all eligible recipients. Those who haven’t received their funds yet should check their mail and GWD, as according to NFOŚiGW, around 500 contracts are still waiting for documents to be submitted.
