The electric First Class C train is in Porto and you can drive it.

The electric Mercedes-Benz Classe C is one of the biggest highlights at the Hybrid and Electric Automobile Show, which runs until October 18.
For the first time, the Mercedes-Benz Classe C comes in a 100% electric version. It marks an important debut for one of the German brand’s most iconic models.
Similar to the GLC, the new electric Classe C retains a design similar to its gasoline-powered version, which will continue to be sold alongside it.
For now, it is available in only one version and can be seen and tested at the Hybrid and Electric Automobile Show (SAHE) in Alfândega do Porto until October 18.

Almost 500 horsepower and 743 km of range
For now, Mercedes-Benz has only unveiled the Classe C 400 4MATIC, which sits at the top of the model’s range. At least until the versions developed by Mercedes-AMG arrive.
Built on the new MB.EA platform specifically created for Mercedes-Benz’s next generation of electric vehicles, this version of the new Classe C electric car features two electric motors—one per axle—delivering a combined power output of 360 kW (489 horsepower) and 800 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.
It is powered by what is likely to be the largest battery in the range, with a useful capacity of 94.5 kWh. This translates to a range of 743 km per charge.
The arrival of the new electric Classe C does not mean the disappearance of its gasoline-powered counterpart. On the contrary, it was recently updated and now has an appearance closer to that of the electric version. But the improvements go far beyond the exterior:
Starting at 70,600 euros
The new Mercedes-Benz Classe C electric is already available in Portugal at prices starting from 70,600 euros. In the future, the range is expected to include more affordable versions as well as more sporty models developed by Mercedes-AMG.
