With the model year change, Porsche is expanding the standard equipment of the new all-electric Macan. The sports car manufacturer has grouped together the most popular options for this mid-size SUV in a new “Business Package.”
The options for the Macan, Macan 4, and Macan 4S include a panoramic roof system, matrix LED headlamps, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, as well as an exterior color of choice from the “Contrasts” and “Shades” categories. For the interior, the Business Package offers 14-way comfort seats, a black leather package, and a Bose surround-sound system. In terms of suspension, it includes power steering Plus and adaptive air suspension with level control and height adjustment, along with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The Business Package costs 5990.46 euros for the Macan and Macan 4 in Germany, and 5299.07 euros for the Macan 4S. According to Porsche, depending on the model, this results in a price savings of up to 45 percent compared to purchasing all package options separately.
More assistance systems and higher charging capacity standard
Porsche is also expanding the standard equipment lineup for the Macan: With the model year change, comfort and assistance features are now included in the fully electric SUV’s standard setup. These include not only adaptive cruise control but also automated parking with a “2D Surround View.” The system independently detects parking spaces between and in front of objects. The turn signal is activated automatically, and the vehicle handles parking in both longitudinal and transverse spaces, as well as exiting from longitudinal spaces.
Additional parking functions, up to “Remote Park Assist” which allows parking maneuvers to be controlled via smartphone among other methods, are available as options. The smartphone can now be charged in the Macan more quickly than before: The dedicated holder in the center console, along with wireless charging, now provides a charging capacity of up to 25 watts (previously 15 watts).
In the Macan GTS and Macan Turbo, Porsche also increases the standard AC charging capacity: thanks to the 22-kW onboard charger now installed as standard, electricity can be drawn much more quickly from public charging stations or compatible wall chargers. The Macan, Macan 4, and Macan 4S charge at a maximum of 11 kW but can be equipped with the 22-kW charger as an option. All Macan models charge at a standard rate of up to 270 kW at suitable DC fast charging stations.
