The Porsche Cayenne Electric can now be charged wirelessly at 11 kW.
Porsche now offers the Cayenne Electric with inductive charging up to 11 kW and electrically operating doors. It also features a massage function with 4D audio and a total of 105 paint colors.

Porsche is expanding the equipment list of the all-electric Cayenne at the model year change. The updates apply to both the traditional SUV body style and the Cayenne Coupé Electric. The focus is on three technical options — electrically operated doors, wireless charging, and an enhanced massage function — as well as a significantly larger range of paint colors and interior variants. The manufacturer does not provide details on the powertrain, battery, or range with this update; it is therefore a purely cosmetic upgrade.
Inductive charging up to 11 kW
The most interesting new feature for electric vehicle owners is Porsche Wireless Charging. Instead of plugging in a charging cable, the Cayenne Electric is placed on a fixed base plate, after which the charging process starts automatically.
The system consists of three components: a setup on the vehicle, a receiving unit in the undercarriage, and a ground plate at the parking location. According to Porsche, the plate is weatherproof and can therefore be installed outdoors, such as on a carport or outdoor parking space. Energy is transferred wirelessly at a charging rate of up to 11 kW. The manufacturer states that the efficiency is around 90 percent. This means its performance is on par with a standard three-phase wallbox, although the transmission losses are slightly higher than those of wired charging.
To ensure safety, motion sensors and foreign object detection are built in. If an animal or person enters the area between the vehicle and the floor plate, charging is interrupted. The same applies if a metallic object lies on the plate and heats up due to the magnetic field. All components are now available for order in Germany and other European countries, with additional markets to follow soon. Porsche does not specify prices for the system in the announcement.

Electric doors and massage seats
Servomotors on all four doors
For the first time, an electric door system is available as an option for the Cayenne Electric. Servo motors open and close all four doors, with a brief pull on the handle being sufficient to initiate the process. The doors can be controlled via buttons in the interior, the door handles, the Flow display of the PCM infotainment system, or remotely using the Porsche Digital Key. Additionally, the driver’s door closes automatically once the driver fastens their seat belt or steps on the brake.
The mechanism operates smoothly and continuously, ensuring reliable performance even on slopes. Sensors monitor the area around the doors; if they detect an obstacle or a person, movement is stopped. Together with the exit warning system, this prevents the doors from opening when another vehicle approaches. Manual operation remains available as well.
4D Audio Massage Function
A new feature available is also a massage function that can be paired with music. The driver’s and passenger’s seats each have 16 air chambers, along with six sound actuators in the backrest and seat surface. Five programs are available, allowing for adjustable vibration massage at various intensities. The actuators also transmit music as vibrations to the body, which Porsche calls 4D Audio. This function can be used without massage as well, with the distribution and intensity of vibrations being adjustable. The system is integrated into the so-called Mood Modes, which are supplemented by three wellness variants with customized sounds.
More Colors and New Interior Packages
To date, the Cayenne Electric offered 13 factory colors in the Contrasts, Shades, Dreams, and Legends categories. Now it is included in Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s “Color of Your Choice” program, which features 92 additional paint shades. This brings the total number of colors available to customers to 105.
There are also additions to the interior. The already available Interior Style Package, a collaboration between Style Porsche and Exclusive Manufaktur featuring a black-green two-tone design, is now supplemented by an expansion package. This adds additional leather elements and decorative stitching in Delgadagrün color. Additional options include a leather add-on package, leather/Race-Tex console panels for the front and rear, as well as interior door trim made of Race-Tex, all with color-coded stitching. These extras are available for ordering on all variants of the Cayenne Electric.
