The Porsche Cayenne Electric will get wireless charging and additional options

Porsche is expanding the optional features for its all-electric Cayenne with model year updates. These changes apply to both the SUV version of the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Coupé Electric. Additional options include electric doors, wireless charging, an enhanced massage function, and more choices for paint colors and interior finishes.
The electric doors, offered optionally for the first time, open and close using servomotors. A brief pull on the door handle is sufficient, after which the movement is executed automatically. The doors can be operated via door handles, buttons inside the cabin, the Flow display of Porsche Communication Management, and the Porsche Digital Key.
Sensors monitor the surroundings during automatic door movement. If the system detects an obstacle or a person, it stops the motion. Combined with the exit warning function, opening can also be prevented when approaching vehicles are detected. Manual operation remains possible.
Porsche Wireless Charging allows charging without a connected cable. To use this feature, the Cayenne Electric is placed on a fixed floor plate, after which the charging process starts automatically. The system consists of three hardware components: a setup on the vehicle, a receiving unit integrated into the vehicle’s underfloor, and a floor plate installed at the parking location. This plate is weather-resistant and can be placed outdoors as well. Energy transfer occurs without contact, with a charging power of up to 11 kW and an efficiency of around 90 percent.
The massage function with 4D Audio uses 16 air cushions in each of the driver’s and passenger’s seats, along with six sound actuators in the backrest and seat cushion. Five massage programs are available, including an optional vibration massage with various intensity levels. The massage program, intensity, as well as the distribution and strength of vibrations can be adjusted, while the 4D Audio function can also be activated independently of the massage.
In terms of paint options, the Cayenne Electric is included in Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s “Color of Your Choice” program. Along with existing color variations, a total of 105 paint shades are available, including 13 standard colors in the Contrasts, Shades, Dreams, and Legends categories. This expands the range of customization options available.
Porsche also enhances the interior equipment. The already available Interior Style Package combines premium trims in a two-color scheme of black and exclusive green tones; with the model year change, an expansion package is added featuring additional leather trims and stitching in Delgadagrün. Other options include the Interior Add-on Package Leather, leather/Race-Tex console panels, and Race-Tex interior door sills with colored stitching.
