Peugeot has decided to make significant price cuts on its electric vehicles in the United Kingdom. The maximum discounts amount to nearly 10,000 pounds, or almost 49,000 zlotys. In Poland, on the electric vehicle websites, subsidies from NaszEauto dominate, though their budget was exhausted many months ago. Even models that no one has yet seen in showrooms are being advertised: the Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 with large batteries.
Peugeot in Poland. Do we always have to lag behind?
On one hand, Stellantis is going to great lengths to introduce Chinese technology to the Old Continent under various brands. It has sold Leapmotor, and it will soon offer Leapop and Leapiat, followed by Voyah, possibly Dongfeng or Voyaserati. On the other hand, the company seems to lack control over its current portfolio, with launches appearing to be rushed just to meet market demands. At least that’s the impression one gets when comparing offerings in the United Kingdom and Poland.
The subsidy scheme introduced in the UK has led to a series of price cuts. The Peugeot E-3008 with a battery capacity of ~77 (73) kWh has seen its price drop by nearly 10,000 pounds, to 36,995 pounds (source), which is equivalent to 185,500 Polish zlotys. Additionally, there is a subsidy of 1,500 pounds (7,300 zlotys) available, along with a small tax reduction. The Peugeot E-5008 is cheaper by almost 8,000 pounds. The seven-seater version is priced at 40,595 pounds, corresponding to 203,600 zlotys — almost the same as the listed price of the E-3008’s base Allure edition in our country.
The versions with larger batteries have not seen price reductions because... they don’t exist. In Poland, we read that they will be available in September 2024.

The managing director of Peugeot in the United Kingdom said that the price cuts “strengthen Peugeot’s position in the mass market.” The brand “increases its appeal by continuing to offer sophisticated styling (…) as well as the innovative technologies for which it is known.” As a result, a sale has been launched in our country for the combustion engine versions; the Peugeot 208 Edition with a manual transmission costs from 72,000 złoty (even 69,900 złoty on promotion, as shown below), while the hybrid version is available from 85,100 złoty (source).
