In France, Mercedes has initially opened orders for two versions of the new electric VLE. One version is a rear-wheel-drive model equipped with a 206 kW (276 hp) engine. The second is an all-wheel-drive version with two engines delivering a combined power of 305 kW (415 hp). Both versions feature a 115 kWh battery, providing up to 678 km of range for the rear-wheel-drive model. It also supports fast DC charging at up to 300 kW. Additionally, this 5.31-meter-long grand limousine can accommodate six to eight passengers. With it, Mercedes France targets large hotels and premium shuttle services, as well as CSP+ families and executives seeking a luxury vehicle with exceptional space. Notably, in 2027, Mercedes will launch an extended version (5.48 meters) of the VLE, which will offer even more space.

Mercedes clearly positions the electric VLE in the higher-end segments. As a result, its prices are high, with the entry-level VLE 300 starting at 82,344 euros. The all-wheel-drive VLE 400 4 Matic costs at least 89,763 euros. Moreover, the total cost can rise rapidly depending on the choices made for options. First, the electric VLE range is available in four trim levels: Standard, AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, and Exclusive. Prices also depend on the seating configuration: 6, 7, or 8 seats. Mercedes offers numerous option packages, ranging from 1,794 euros for the Advanced Package to 10,250 euros for the Premium Package Plus. Additional individual options can further increase the cost, pushing it above 130,000 euros.
