For the new model year, Opel is expanding the Astra’s lineup with a base version called Start. The five-door Astra is available starting at 31,890 euros, while the Astra Sports Tourer begins at 33,390 euros. Both models are now 1,500 euros cheaper than before. For the Astra Electric, the starting price drops by 1,900 euros to 36,490 euros.

The standard equipment of the Astra Start includes the new Metallic paint color Denim Blue, six-way adjustable Intelli-Sits for the driver and passenger, as well as an automatic climate control system. Additional features are the keyless Start system, front and rear parking assist, along with other assistance systems. For vehicle information and multimedia, there is a customizable 10-inch driver information display and an equally large color touchscreen.

There are three engine options available. The Astra Hybrid delivers 107 kW (145 hp) of system power and 230 Newton meters of torque, paired with an electrically assisted six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Alternatively, a diesel engine with 96 kW (130 hp) and an eight-speed automatic transmission is available. The electric Astra Electric Start features 115 kW (156 hp), 270 Newton meters of torque, and Vehicle-to-Load technology (V2L).
