The most European of the Chinese returns to Portuguese salons

The GAC Aion UT is one of the brand’s new offerings at the Hybrid and Electric Car Show, with prices starting at 28,200 euros.
After being tested in Italy and making its debut to the Portuguese public at the ECAR Show 2026, the GAC Aion UT returned to national car shows at the Hybrid and Electric Car Show (SAHE), held in Alfândega do Porto until October 18.
Designed in Italy and produced in Austria, the GAC Aion UT is a compact 100% electric family car with a length of 4.27 meters, placing it in the B segment—one of the best-selling segments in Europe.
Despite its compact size, it offers a trunk with a capacity of up to 440 liters and multiple storage spaces. The interior features a central 14.6” screen and an 8.8” digital instrument panel.
204 hp and 430 km of range
The GAC Aion UT is available in only one version, featuring a front electric motor with 150 kW (204 hp) and 210 Nm of torque, powered by a 60 kWh battery that provides up to 430 km of range in the combined WLTP cycle. According to the manufacturer, this figure can increase to 622 km in urban driving conditions.
When charging, the GAC Aion UT supports up to 11 kW in alternating current (AC) and up to 87 kW in direct current (DC). With DC charging, it can go from 30% to 80% charge in 24 minutes.
