New Xpeng L03: Price starting at 35,600 euros for the 58.3 kWh version, ~159,800 zł. 400 V architecture, RWD or AWD. Competitor to the Skoda Enyaq

Xpeng has introduced the Xpeng L03 to the European (and global) market. This crossover coupe falls in the entry-level D-segment (4.65 meters long, 2.85 meters wheelbase, 1.6 meters high, and 1.92 meters wide), meaning it will primarily compete with the Skoda Enyaq (4.66 meters, 2.77 meters). The manufacturer has equipped it with advanced technology to make it a top-choice option: prices for the Xpeng L03 start at 35,600 euros, which is equivalent to just under 160,000 Polish zlotys. Its maximum range is 520 WLTP units, and the 400 V architecture allows it to reach 70 percent (from 10% to 80%) charge in 20 minutes.

Important Add-ons and Polish Debut
The Xpeng L03 is dubbed a “next-gen AI SUV Coupe,” or “SUV Coupe with next-generation artificial intelligence,” however odd that might sound. Artificial intelligence handles autonomous driving (Xpeng NGP, VLA 2.0, available starting in 2027) and driver assistance: the assistant in the XOS 6 system is designed for “smooth communication in multiple languages.” An important addition—without artificial intelligence—is the announcement of using Google Maps in the background for navigation or autonomous driving. In the future.

Battery capacity and range
Externally, the company highlights the optimization of the Xpeng L03’s body design, which has enabled it to achieve an air resistance coefficient of Cx 0.228 (Skoda Enyaq Coupe = 0.225). The Chinese crossover will be available as a purely electric vehicle (BEV), and later as a plug-in hybrid with an internal combustion engine acting as a generator (PHEV/REEV). The battery capacities will be 58.3 and 71.2 kWh, resulting in maximum ranges of 445 (Standard Range RWD) or 520 (Long Range RWD) WLTP units.

This translates to 380 or 444 kilometers in urban or urban-suburban driving mode, 267 or 312 kilometers at 120 km/h, and 205 or 239 kilometers at 140 km/h [preliminary calculations by Elektrowozu editorial team]. The Xpeng L03 uses a 400 V architecture, yet it can reach maximum charging rates of 193 or 236 kW at a charger, levels similar to those of the Kia EV6 or Hyundai Ioniq 5. Of course, this depends on the charger’s capability, as 236 kW divided by 400 V results in a current of 590 amperes, well above the previously applicable limit of 500 amperes.
If the charger can handle it, the charging time from 10% to 80% will be 20 minutes, regardless of the battery capacity used.
Trunk Capacity: The Real Competition
The most surprising figure cited in some sources is the trunk capacity: the Xpeng L03 has 367 liters of space in the back and 89 liters under the hood in the front (other sources: 102 l; AWD = 44 l). One needs to examine the specifications carefully to find out that the rear floor can be removed to achieve a total of 539 (rather than 367) liters of trunk space in the back, but this is “measured volumetrically”:

If the “volume measurement” was done in accordance with VDA procedures, we have a value comparable to the Skoda Enyaq (585 liters), which suggests that the cabin of this Chinese crossover will be more spacious than that of the Skoda. This should be particularly noticeable in the second row of seats. If, on the other hand, it’s the volume measured up to the roof, then the back seat area becomes cramped—more so than in the VW ID.3 Neo (385 liters per VDA).
Prices and Versions
The Xpeng L03 Standard Range is expected to cost starting at 35,600 euros, which converts to approximately 159,800 zlotys when adjusted for VAT differences. This price applies to the version with a 58.3 kWh battery and an engine producing 180 kW/245 hp and 264 Nm of torque, delivering a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds. The Xpeng L03 Long Range version, equipped with the same engine but better acceleration (6.6 seconds) and a 71.2 kWh battery, will start at 38,600 euros, equivalent to around 173,200 zlotys.
The Xpeng L03 tested with VLA 2.0 on German roads has received conditional approval for use in Poland.

The all-wheel-drive version, Xpeng L03 AWD Performance, with 285 kW/387 hp and 431 Nm of torque (0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds), costs starting at 41,600 euros, or 186,900 zlotys. There’s also the Xpeng L03 AWD Performance Ultra, which is heavily equipped (18 speakers, 2 Turing chips required for VLA 2.0, massage seats in the front) and costs starting at 46,600 euros, or 209,100 zlotys.
The Xpeng L03 REEV, available in autumn, will have a battery with a capacity of 37.25 kWh and a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine generator. Its price will start at 38,600 euros, or 173,200 zlotys.
Important extras and Polish debut
Xpeng already comes standard with a 15.6-inch central display, 8.9-inch instrument panels, and a head-up display (HUD). It also features heated and ventilated seats, ambient lighting with 256 color options, an active noise reduction system, a Xopera audio system with 9 speakers, and V2L power output of up to 6 kW.
Since Poland’s brand distributor, Inchcape, is currently actively selling the P7+ model and recently introduced the X9, with plans to start offering the P7 this year as well, we expect the official debut of the Xpeng L03 in Poland only next year, once the vehicle receives a series of promised updates. On the other hand, the global launch of the Xpeng L03 suggests that things might be shifting with the model lineup, and the L03 could go on sale earlier.
