The new Fiat Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will be available for purchase from the second half of 2026. Not yet at Leapmotory

Fiat announced that it will introduce a new model in the second half of 2026: the Fiat Grizzly and Fiat Grizzly Fastback are set to be available with the full range of two powertrains (internal combustion, electric) offered by Stellantis, and they will be sold in Europe, key markets in the Middle East, and South and Central America. Judging by the dates, capabilities, and size, the Fiat Grizzly (also known as Fastback) will be based on models we are already familiar with.

Fiat Grizzly, or Citroen e-C3 Aircross (read: Opel Frontera Electric)?

The Fiat Grizzly is set to be a compact vehicle with a length of “under 4.5 meters,” which clearly indicates that its closest rivals will be the Citroen e-C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera Electric. These two models have received fairly positive reception in the market thanks to their favorable cost-to-performance ratio. Both are spacious, feature large trunks, but have poor software and interior quality along with weak ranges for their segment. However, some buyers overlooked these issues due to low monthly payments. Especially since they didn’t notice the Leapmotor B10 displayed in the corner of the showroom.

The new Fiat Grizzly was unveiled against a beautiful Mediterranean backdrop and color palette, so we chose not to crop the main photo in a way that focuses solely on the vehicles. We can expect the models to be offered in standard and Long Range variants, equipped with batteries of 44 (41) LFP or 54 (50) kWh respectively [editorial speculation by Elektrowozu]. In the first case, the range will be around 300 WLTP units, while in the second it will be just over 400. The engine is unlikely to be upgraded; we’ll get the existing 83 kW/113 hp, although the Fastback version may receive a Sport mode.

Grizzly is a reference to a large and fierce bear species, as well as a nod to the Panda [because “Kodiak” might not sit well with Skoda… – editor]. Fiat, on the other hand, signifies a commitment that the model will have an affordable price. We won’t be surprised if the car costs as much as the Opel Frontera Electric, which is just under 130,000 złoty for the smaller battery and slightly more for a larger one. The Fastback version, being “more sporty,” might start a few thousand złoty higher.

The car will be available in the market in a few months. Those who can’t wait should consider the Leapmotor B10. Those who can wait should probably do the same, unless they decide not to support Chinese manufacturers.
